So .... just to be clear .... at what age have you determined that musicians should stop being musicians .... and why?
If they reach the top levels, musicians and entertainers are talented and popular. If they sing and write music ... so what? Are you under the impression that this is a beauty contest?

Rita Moreno is 91 years old and still working. She stars in 80 for Brady. Her character's name is Maura. I saw her on a daytime show recently.

@CANDLEQUEEN her tour just sold out in minutes, she doesn't even have to try, she's still very relevant.
People have always lined up for freak shows, too.
GREAT post!!!

Her over use of plastic surgery and her extremely strange behavior, shows a person who is trying to hold onto something that is long gone. In addition, the ticket prices for her upcoming shows are outrageous and will exclude more than half her fan base from being able to attend.
Well she is a "singer" after all, what else would make her relevant? Her entire tour sold out in minutes, so apparently there are tens of thousands of people that are eager, willing, and able to hear her sing.
READ post 44. She's OBVIOUSLY NOT as RELEVANT as you think she is.

Honestly, I've never cared for her music as it was *Pop* and I didn't care for pop music. Her singing voice, mediocre.
Would've never considered her a beauty, but I don't look at her transformation as grasping for youth, tbh.
She looks freakish, but I think that's the look she was going for.

I agree with you. Freak shows were always popular at circuses. That is how I see Madonna's concerts. People are paying to see a freak show.

And Willy!!!!
I'm always amused when women are told they just need to step back and be satisfied. To stop being loud and out there and relevant. Even worse when women are told they're too old to be out there and relevant. Further proof of the patriarchy we perpetuate without even realizing it.
Who is Willy?
This whole thread shows "that while we may have come a long way, Baby" .... we still have a long way to go.
While someone may not be fond of Madonna, is it really necessary to rip her to shreds?
Looking at older MALE entertainers, honestly, I wouldn't mind if Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger wanted to have some work done. Wouldn't mind at all. lol

Why? Because all her tickets haven't instantly sold out? What is your point?

@Tinkrbl44 I believe they're referencing Willie Nelson?
Burt Bacharach died yesterday, 94 years old.
