I am trying Wen for the first time. Can I still use my other brand of styling products or will it affect the Wen results?

It depends on the type of product and what's in it. I use a Deva gel with my WEN regularly, and I have sometimes needed an aerosol hairspray. I don't have any trouble washing those out of my hair with WEN. But if you feel like your hair isn't getting clean enough, you could try switching them.

I use WEN Styling Creme, Volumizing Treatment Spray, and Mousse, but I use another brand of thickening spray and traditional hair spray without any problems.

You can do whatever works for you. For me, I use the WEN---one cleanse only, no leave in---and then use one small pump of his styling cream.

I guess if you use things with alcohol in them, it might defeat the purpose, but whatever works...

I use a clarifying or other shampoo once or twice a month...and I also love using the Ojon layered oil---put it on my hair, cover with shower cap---leave on for hour or two, wash out. Nice!

Like others said...depends on what you are using. Some silicone smoothing serums may not wash out with Wen and build up on your hair, which means you won't get good results. I like Wen styling products because they work well with the cleansing conditioner.

Thats a loaded question.

Some people will chastise you for using non-wen products. Do what you like to do.

many people use other shampoos with wen etc.... Some people wen does nothing for them.

I tried wen once and used it for a summer exclusively and did nothing for me. Some people it works wonders for them.
