Wen, thoughts about how it works

Wen seems to have an almost cult following. Everything I read is 'mostly' positive. I've been giving it a try and even ordered the special value seasonal set on, auto delivery. I have been using it for about 2 months.

I haven't seen any posts regarding how this product works. It is supposed to make your hair thicker and longer and as beautiful as the models Chaz presents. No one talks about the facts. Hair is a dead product, just like skin/nails. Nothing can make hair healthier after it leaves the follicle. A product would have to affect the hair follicle to change the hair it produces. Many things affect hair growth. How does Wen change the way the hair follicle produces? Is Wen affecting the blood supply to the scalp? Unless it penetrates the scalp, anything on the surface wouldn't change the hair growth.

I have short hair. I got advice from this forum when I didn't see the results I expected. I thank everyone for the help. I have short, very fine and thinning hair. I also color and frost it. My biggest concern was thinning and breakage.

I started using Fig about 2 months ago. I am also using the oil treatment occasionally. I use the Replenishing Mist after a few days.

This is what I observe. I think the Cleansing Conditioner leaves a layer on the hair itself. It slowly builds up the width of the hair shaft by leaving a coating of the Conditioner behind. My hair feels thicker, but I don't think it really is. I think it is actually a buildup of the product. As a result of this, the hair has less chance of breaking. The hair shaft appears healthier, but it really isn't. It is just coated with the CC.

What is the point of the Treatment Oil? Does it penetrate the scalp getting into the follicle?

I think its important to objectively look at this product without wearing rose colored glasses. I do like the way my hair feels and I do feel is is breaking less. But I also think this observation is due to the coating of the CC.

Just giving my observation and wonder if anyone else has given any thought to how this product works.
