Please, please, please, Chaz, mention every single time to not use the Wen Pets on cats. Tea Tree is toxic to them. Sometimes you say it but not always, and I'm worried about the people that buy it for cats. Truly much appreciated!!

You may want to Facebook him. But I have noticed the last few times he has explained this and suggested cat owners speak with their vet.

Yep, you are so right! He should not advertise it for pets, when he really means dogs, but it can be toxic for them as well. He should just remove the tea tree oil and move on.

WEN Dooters uses it too, and he's a beautiful, healthy horsey. Smile

tigress, you might want to do more research on TT, yes it is NOT to be used on cats! Absolutely! However, a small, properly diluted amount is not a significant risk for humans, or many other mammals.

IMO - responsible pet owners check with their vet prior to using ANYTHING otc on their pets.

I did check with my Vet and he said water only on cats. He said he did not recommend any OTC product to put on cats. All essential oils and conditioners leave some residue, no matter how much you rinse. Cats lick themselves, therefore, they ingest anything on their coats. He said it's not worth taking the chance.

He also said, if you are going to do water only baths, remember that a cats normal body temp is an average 101.5 so body temp water for us (98.6) is chilly to them.

He said if your cat gets into something water won't take care of, you need to call them.
