Re: Wen ..does it really work

I'm a WEN success story!

I had never heard of WEN before. My hair doesn't have any problems. It's wavy, curly, and normal- not dry or oily. After all of the years of swimming daily I'm lucky it's not damaged more. But it is color treated, and that's what drew me to WEN.

I happened to watch for the first time and heard Chaz say something like your color will stay in. I was tired of my hair turning brassy two weeks after having it done.

I used WEN for that reason, but I couldn't believe how good my hair looked. I started using just one cleanse because of swimming and cleansing every day. I no longer swim every day, so my routine has changed.

I use either Tea Tree or Pomegranate for my first cleanse, just like I would shampoo. I like the seasonals, so I use that as my second cleanse, letting it stay in for about 10 minutes. Then I rinse it out with warm water and follow with a cool rinse. I put about a palm size amount in my soaking wet hair as a "leave in, squeezing it into the back and twisting, then raking it with my fingers arched in the crown area. I also like the styling cream, so I put it on the same way.

Even before I used WEN, I let my hair dry naturally. Once in a while if I have something really special I will blow it out.

Our drains are fine, and I have not experienced any hair falling out.  Smiley Happy

DITTO!  As we know, the haters come out of the woodwork when Chaz is on.

I love Wen and it is all I use. I started using it in 2009. Please know there is a learning curve and you need to to use it like Chaz demonstrates.

I cleanse everyday because i workout everyday and sweat from my head. I feel it leeps my color looking great!!

Re: Wen ..does it really work

I switched to WEN when my beloved Ojon was sold and ruined.

Nothing else ever touches my hair...my colorist will even use it for me.

After years and years and years....IMHO, I still have great hair!  LOL

I only cleanse 2x per week!

No side effects, no issues, no clogged drains.

My suggestion would be to try it when there is free shipping!

With a generous 30 day return policy...give it a try!

You Do need to use as directed though.

Re: Wen ..does it really work

I'm not a fan. Tried some of his products years ago but they weighed down my hair too much and left it lifeless. My hair is about chin length (thinking it may be different on very long hair), thick and dry. I shampoo each day, even though he suggests you don't. I can't stand to not shampoo daily. When my hairdresser styles my hair, it looks very smooth and sleek so seeing the beautiful hair on TV doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the same results as they do when first styled for TV. It's too expensive for me to use daily so I was actually glad it didn't work for me.

@santorini I agree. I tried Wen about 10yrs ago. Had an older house, but not an antique by any stretch, and it never had any plumbing issues.  Gummed up the drain terribly and my hair looked terrible. Dry and flat. Also, I guess I had a reaction to an ingredient inside one of the scents (maybe menthol?) because my hair started to fall out.  I pitched that stuff and mad at myself that I fell for the hype and paid the cost with my wallet, drains, and hair. This is only my experience, and apparently there are devotees to this brand, and I am glad they do not have any issues I went through.

I was also sent the information to join the class action lawsuit years ago, never did though.

To the poster who made a comment about "haters".  I don't think it is fair to say that "haters"come out when Chaz comes on. People have different experiences with different products and people were asked to share them by the OP.  The world is not all sunshine and roses, and that includes for some people, using WEN.  If everything was perfect, if I were the poster, I would be very suspicious of overwhleming only positive comments.

I didn’t fall for the 19 pumps here the 13 pumps there schtick. Your hair does not know the difference between how many pumps you put on. It’s a good way to go through a lot of product. Tried it once was underwhelmed. Who has time to spend all that time in the shower?

I am a longtime WEN user and lover. I wash my hair every day, and use WEN every day except Sunday when I use shampoo and conditioner. I have never had any plumbing problems. It works for me, my color lasts much longer. I am a happy customer and have been for many years.

@San Antonio Gal  The OP wanted opinions and she got them.  I haven't seen any "Wen haters"  Just folks giving opinions of their use of Wen.  I haven't seen any  bashing of the product or Chaz.  Perhaps I missed a post, but everyone has been respectful. As with everything, what works for one doesn't mean it works for all.

I'm not a hater and I have not watched QVC for at least 5 years.

We are here for opinions and people sre sharing their experience with it.

Like I said I think there is something in it meaning the "mint" that is allergenic to many people including myself.  Believe me I wanted to believe in it and tried.

Allergies have nothibg to do with haters.  And the lawsuit proved it but again I  beieve it's a highly allergenic substance in there for many.
