Hmm...same here...even the new one I had to order from WEN does not close properly???
I am very surprised by this. It has happened to most of my oil bottles so it wasn't just a one off defect. It's clearly a widespread problem. I know Chaz takes quality control seriously so the fact that it still hasn't been addressed really does surprise me.

What a bummer. So age must have deteriorated the rubber or something, because if it was a defect when new, you would have lost all the oil during shipping. I only have two oils and have almost lost both at one time or another because of my clumsiness. Just the thought of losing six gives me vapors. I would still give it a shot with Chaz customer services if I were you.

The dropper would not fit properly in the bottle. This happened to me 3 or 4 different times over a few years. I called the salon and they sent me a box to return the bottle but I never heard anything about it and I did 't followup. Over the past year all the bottles I purchased have been fine so maybe the problem was corrected. On 3/16/2014 woodyend said: <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">At about $50.00 a pop why aren’t you sending them back for a refund? These are from when the oils were reformulated and Chaz came out with two 3-piece sets of smaller oils a couple years ago- too late for a refund. That's also why I had them in a bag, because they were small versions. Still a bummer though.

Not corrected this is a current problem for me. I called the Chaz WEN number from the bottle each time(3x) I was assured a new stopper was on its way. About 2 weeks ago I called once again and had to leave a message. I was called back...they apologized and said one was now sent to me. I received the new stopper several days ago...it still does not close properly. The threads do not match up from the bottle to the stopper.
I think I will leave a not on Chaz's FB so they are aware there is still a problem.

On this last bottle I had quite a few people try to close thinking it maybe me because sometimes my hands don't work well but it was the threads and then the dropper would be too long to even connect with the bottle. The first time it happened was almost seven years ago and I lost all my tea tree oil.On 3/16/2014 beaches21 said:On 3/16/2014 PalmTree11 said:I feel your pain. I must be missing something. My oils came with the stopper connected to the bottle. So if this is a defect the oil would have seeped out in transit. Are you sure that the rubber part of the stopper does not have a gap between it and the ring thingy it’s connected to? I just checked mine and the threads line up and I held them upside-down and squeezed the bottle no leakage for now but mine are newer than yours are or were I’m sad to say.

I have done everything I can think of to try to make the stopper work. I even asked my DH to give it a try and he had no better luck. All I can tell is the threads to the stopper and the bottle do not seem to match up. I received the bottle from the Q and there was a slight amount on the bottle when I received it. I should have sent it back but thought I could make it work but never could. I have to set this carefully on my shelf and pick it up below the section you 5crew the stopper on and pray it will not slip from my grip.

There is non gap, the threads justndon't match up. First time it happened I was aware of it and put I a plastic bag on my shelf and it was knocked over so I lost the oil. Last year it happened with an SMC. Frankly, the first time it happened I was turned off and didn't reorder the oil for over a year because of it. Last year I bought bottles from my pharmacist and transferred the remaining oil into them. I have about five unopened seasonals right now ad I hope it doesn't happen with them. In the past year I've used about 5 bottles and all of them were fine.I must be missing something. My oils came with the stopper connected to the bottle. interesting a few things wrong here:
You know it seems that those oils are already over two years old anyway- if you say when reformulated.
They are the little one ounce oils- how long did you really expect them to last??
Oil are perishable- they don't last forever.
I have so many different bottles of oils and never a problem with any- makes me think that because that happened to all at the same time- might be just something about where you kept the bag.
Whoa- people here just complain about the darndest things..but whatever you don't have to explain yourself.
