Wen Gallon

I live in Canada and we cannot get the gallons here Smiley Sad I want to order a gallon from QVC and my friend is going to ship it to me. Can anyone tell me how much a Gallon weighs? Trying to figure out the shipping cost.

My gallon was delivered a couple days ago and according to the tracking info, it was 9.50 pounds.

If I figured it out right, the gallon weighs 8 pounds so including the box that would make it the 9.50 pounds. Of course I didn't think to check the tracking info.
