I watched and listened. I rarely watch a presentation, but was a bit taken aback with the constant interruption of Lisa when Leslie would try to say something. I really think Leslie should have been doing the introduction and Lisa just stop talking. I wish the show would have showed more of BE rather then all the clothes.
Maybe Leslie was very tried from that long trip which could be.
I wish what colors would match the loose mineral powders. I ordered 2 shades because I too am not sure which shade I should wear. The ready foundation I can not wear, I broke out badly from it. I have been wearing loose BE for years. I wear medium beige, I hope the bare skin neutral shade will be close to med. beige. I also ordered bare satin because if I go into with a gold tone base, I look jaundice.
going to give the old college try and see what happens.

On 2/22/2014 SunnyinSEPA said:After watching her present this product, I have to wonder just what her relationship is with the company to whom she sold her company. "Just anyone" wouldn't pop in at the last minute and launch a new, "big deal," product. According to Leslie and Lisa, her appearance was not planned. Wouldn't the company executives (whoever now owns the BE brand) mandate who would launch their premier product? Then she mentioned she was testing all sorts of liquid foundations and people were staring at her because her makeup looked so bad. Is she still involved in product development?
I thought she sold the company and trotted off with her millions. Apparently not. If she's still involved, I'd like to see her as the face of BE more often (nothing against Jessica. IMO Leslie is the trusted face behind the brand.)
I'm not trying it. I wear the original formulation and don't have a reason to change. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
I'm not really sure how you can make these nasty comments when you obviously have no idea what has happened with the company. Yes, BE went public in 2006 and was sold to Shiseido. However, Leslie is still the CEO of the company. She did not "trot off with her millions". Not sure what you would have ever heard to make you think that, but you are very, VERY wrong! Do some homework before opening your mouth.
And to address another person wanting to know about animal testing. BE products are NOT tested on animals and ARE made in the USA & Canada, with the exception of the packaging & tools.
I always thought these boards were a place where we could lift each other up and share thoughts & ideas about products. Instead it has become a bashing ground. Do we need to make others feel bad to make ourselves feel good? Because I just find that to be so wrong. I'm sure many of the people you have been bashing here actually read these posts. How would you feel to read all this nastiness if it were about you? We can still offer our thoughts & opinions, but keep them "soft" instead of hurtful. Make your comments productive and sincere without being so harsh.

Nope, not for a moment. I've been 'convinced' by the Leslie and Lisa show way too many times, only to be disappointed. I have products I like and that work for me. I won't be adding this one to my list.

I'm sure there will be more presentations of this before it ships. You'll have time to cancel the order if your still not convinced about it.

Gurlygirl, this is not bashing, but discussing a product that has maintained a consistency for many years. I sense many avid fans of BE feel betrayed as I also felt when Shishedo is breaking ground in areas Leslie was so against..liquid makeup. Sounds as though she is forced into this new line of products and many are clearly seeing it on the show.
Leslie was proud not to animal test on her products, but she DID sell her products to a company that DOES ANIMAL TEST. YES SHISHEDO DOES ANIMAL TEST FOR SURE. For your information, it is on the Peta's listing of companies who heavy animal test. I for one, do not want to wear any makeup that animals tests that some animal is tortured to find out if the product is harmful. How selfish is that?
You can inform us about the information about Leslie still being the CEO in a kinder way yourself. I haven't seen any harshness on this thread but these ladies are discussing and venting their frustrations on a tried and true products replaced by new products that many are not sure of..and given the showing, Leslie didn't appear to be too sold on it herself. There is no disrespect to Leslie, in this thread of conversation, whatsoever.

I clearly remember, vera11 that on many of Leslies older showings of BE, she stresses a good moisturizer under the BE products to prevent the drying effects if someone had dry skin. And I agree since it took me some time to find a good moisturizer that worked with my skin and to coordinate with the BE products. Once I found a good one, the BE looked great. In my case, I was tired of the liquid makeup clogging my pores and having breakouts of blemishes. With BE, I don't have that problem. I suppose most ladies have to find that one makeup that benefits their skin type, tone and color and they are happy with..for me it was BE.

I think there will be more presentations of this foundation too before it ships. Hopefully it will be much more clear as to which shade is best for me, I certainly hope so because I had to buy 2 different ones to see if any of them matched and I think a lot of people ordered 2 for the same reason, also its on easy pay and you do get the brush. I think a lot will be returned because of that fact. I am sure the presentation will also get better, do not know if Leslie will be the one doing it as I think you can tell that she really is not that happy to be standing up and going against everything she has said about liquid. And, trying to say serum is not a foundation is just so funny to me. Actually,I think liquid is a serum, a serum is a liquid, lol. I am sure bare minerals has a HUGE advertising department that will come up with a better angle, they knew it would be a hard sell to those that are die hard loose people. And so what if they sold thousands in 10 minutes, it was no big surprise as they have let the "secret" out all week. Nerves were high in my opinion of both Lisa and Leslie. If they had just done the regular presentation of the models sitting and applying the product as they do with all of their products it would not have been such a weird presentation. I hate it when vendors just talk about a product and the camera cuts away to a model that is just sitting there doing nothing, I just hate that. Like I have said, I ordered 2 and when it gets here I just hope it is not a runny mess, shake first!, lol

I'm interested, but haven't yet ordered. I wore the original BE foundation for many years, and stopped a few years ago when it became too drying for me. I think I'll wait to see it in a store before deciding on which shade to try. Per the BE website there will be additional shades at retail, and it's worth a shot.

Nah....I watched out of curiosity, but couldn't imagine that a serum--liquid by any other name--would be as clean and healthy for the skin. Nothing I saw convinced me otherwise. I guess I'm a purist--I was never on board with the 'ready' products, either. My criteria is, if for some reason the product is not washed off the skin at the end of the day, will it harm the skin? The loose minerals are the only ones that will not, as far as I know. Leslie said many times the applied foundation is a treatment for the skin. She was right. I wouldn't read too much into her presentation though--she said she hasn't been feeling well lately.
