I agree that Leslie and Lisa both seemed nervous and off tonight. I think Leslie coming to launch this new "serum" foundation was a spur of the moment thing! I also think they were awkward because there has been A LOT of backlash against Bare Minerals coming out with a liquid foundation, when for the 13 years I have been using BE it was always told to us that liquid foundation is no good. It feels like wearing a mask. I don't know what's going on here!! I just know that since the company was sold out, it just is not the same as it was when I started using the make up 13 almost 14 years ago. I started noticing a difference in the mineral foundation about a year ago. There is something different about it and I"m talking about the original. It doesn't cover like it used to and it breaks my skin out now. I think a lot of people are questioning Leslie's integrity after preaching all these years against liquid foundation. I think that's what had her nervous and shaken. It may be a great product, BUT I can't imagine walking around in 90 degree humid weather with liquid foundation on my face again!! NO WAY!!! To me, Bare Minerals seems SO FAR from what it originally was and I think that is really sad. They had a great product that won so many awards. Shisheido bought it out and READY was launched. I personaly do not like the READY line other then the eyeshadows. I feel if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! Also, Leslie said that 50 million woman are still using liquid foundation that is not good for their skin and she wants to make a liquid serum foundation for them. Sort of a slap in the face to the MILLIONS of Bare Minerals FAITHFUL customers that have been using this product for MANY years and helped put it on the map!!!! I think it all boils down to greed! I mean that on Shisheido's part. I don't think they really care what's in the make up as long as it sells to a WIDE audience.

I had heard about this serum foundation 2 days ago and watched the video. I have not bought anything, except {an older Bisque powder}, which will last me for years. Since "BM" is now/ was sold to Japan, I am not interested in their testing on animals, period. I viewed the video over 12 different shades, using two drops of serum (pigment) into the brush. I can no longer use my other mineral powders from years ago, due to (maybe) skin changing. It is very drying to use, for me, as the slightest application in a foundation. Would anyone know what is so different about it, or has had a trial sample? I haven't seen the vendor ( Blodgett) in over a year. Was wondering if this particular product was, in deed, made in the USA? Thank You~

Leslie said they made this serum foundation for the liquid foundation ladies that won't convert, so that everyone can now join the bareminerals family.
She also said that she uses both now, since there are no bad ingredients, and it is actually good for the skin. I was not offended at all and I haven't been able to go back to liquid foundation since switching to BE. But I am curious about this.
I think everyone is really being too hard on her. Maybe everyone needs to try it before knocking it.

I did notice on the page where you order it that you only need two drops but if you read further down it says to use 4 drops for medium coverage and 6 drops for full coverage.
I can't imagine 2 drops would cover your whole face, it looked very sheer on the model that Leslie did and 2 drops didn't cover the redness on the one side until she put more on.

Sounds fishy. Why do they let these reviews on here.
I still have no idea what shade to pick.
I think she was just commenting on how BE actually provides a range of shades for different skin tones, instead of just Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, Dark like all other brands do.

I did not think anyone, ginabfly was knocking it but very confused, since apparently most of the posters know the vendor and the product under BM better than I. Since, I do know from watching her (Blodgett) over 2 years ago, she did not give any endorsments in using liquid foundations, and that her minerals were the lightest with no heavy masky feel. -I do remember that!- This is called a "serum foundation", and that should make me believe it is heavier. Again, I did not see this presentation, so I have no idea what others viewed, in her change of mind. Evidentially, it was opposite in what she came on FOR, years ago, as a new type of coverage. I think she is competing with another vendor, who would possibly have a lead over her minerals. Actually, I thought she was out of the vendoring on tv. Again, is this made in the USA? I would believe if so, then she may have mentioned that. Is this for an intro. for Japan's property product? I would ...maybe...try it as a sample from Sephora but not buying it with little information. I am sure all the models looked great, as do all of the make up products [show] presentations.

On 2/21/2014 lianne said: Leslie was uncomfortable probably because she built the brand by saying over end over and over how bad liquid foundation is for you. She has a credibility problem with this, and I am sure Shishedo somehow forced her to do it since QVC was a big part of BM's success.

I think the presentation was just so weird, I think if she was going to debut and endorse, or give it her seal of approval she sure fell flat. I think you could just see it on her face that she did not want to really present this and I sure do not blame her for that. I have too noticed little changes ever since the changing of the guard and I knew it would be. There are so few cosmetic companies that are not a part of the major players anymore and it just made me sick when it was announced. It took me awhile to buy the ready line, in fact I purchased a kit from the Q, and I only bought it because it was an auto delivery. The shadows are nice but you can't "collect" pressed. And some of the names on those shadows mean nothing so I wish they would just name the things after colors. I am so glad I have bought every single tsv that they ever came out with so I have foundations that are before the company changed, lol. That is why I always bought BM, they last forever so I did not feel I was wasting my money in fact you will line my casket with all of those little pots, I could never use all of my items. m I was even upset when they went matte, so, to see a "serum" foundation that is good for me is a joke. I bought a couple of them mind you but really they needed to tout better features and benefits for this to really be sold. Being on a plane from CA to PA would sure give you enough time to read all of the good things about this product rather than," just buy it, its good for you". Hmmm
