Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

Leslie was uncomfortable probably because she built the brand by saying over end over and over how bad liquid foundation is for you. She has a credibility problem with this, and I am sure Shishedo somehow forced her to do it since QVC was a big part of BM's success.

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

I agree with everyone - it was a very awkward presentation. I started using BE in 2002 and the beautiful, a little rounder, energetic Leslie introduced me to the world of BE. I started with eye colors only and I fell in love. I wish that Leslie and that company was still there! Smiley Sad

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

I felt like there was something very off about the presentation, too. I was a big fan of BE for many years and I feel like Leslie was just Shishedo's puppet so she could validate to all of BE's original fans that hey, if Leslie says it's okay then it must be good. I've been so turned off by this company ever since it was sold.

It's been a crazy day on the Q. I didn't see it but heard Shawn was dressed like a bag lady who forgot she was nearly 42. She and Isaac argued over Muppets. Watching Friday N. Beauty now and Lisa looks frantic and "off" and her hair is crazy. I like Lisa, but she is as whacky as Shawn tonight.

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

There is one 5 star review from a new poster that states she loves all the shades. It sounds like she doesn't even have the serum. How could she?

Sounds fishy. Why do they let these reviews on here.

I still have no idea what shade to pick.

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

I agree with others, a strange and rushed presentation to say the least. I ordered two shades to try. because it's so hard to tell what they will really look like - I thought the models looked a little pale, or perhaps it's my TV.

Great to see Leslie again, but unfortunately I thought Lisa spent too much time talking over her tonight. It was obvious Leslie does not like liquid foundation, but she stressed she likes this serum foundation - we will see what it's like when it arrives in April.

I have actually wandered away from Bare Minerals in the last few years, after using it for many years, and tried It Cosmetics, Mally, Tarte, Laura Geller and Philosophy - currently I am liking the foundation that came with the most recent Tarte kit the best. It's fun to experiment with different looks, and I am finding as I age, some of the mineral makeup doesn't work as well for me.

I'm giving this new BE serum a try based on the quality of their products over the years, but I'm not locked into only using Bare Minerals like I used to be - I'm willing to try new products as they come out.

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

I felt like Leslie was nervous because she hasn't been on air in over a year. I also felt like she looked pale, they said she just stepped off the plane. Maybe she wasn't feeling well, who knows! I had a fever Sunday & Monday and am today finally starting to feel normal again. Maybe she has the flu too! I dunno...

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

It didn't make sense to me that they chose to launch this new BE serum foundation tonight without a BE show to surround it, and followed by a Philosophy TSV, plus additional Philosophy shows all day, and one It Cosmetics show - talk about setting it up for being overshadowed!!!

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

And so soon after launching the Ready Foundation. After watching the presentation I was not convinced. I cancelled my order. I'll stick with Ready.

Re: Well... Were You Convinced?

It was mentioned on facebook that Leslie had been sick when she flew in yesterday.
