Waterproof Eyeliner

Has anyone found a sharpener that works well with the bareMinerals waterproof eyeliners? I purchased the moss and mocha and loved them...until I sharpened them. When they are sharpened, they clump up and do not sharpen to a point, therefore, it is impossible to get a smooth, clean line. At first I thought I had received defective eyeliners, so I called QVC and they were so wonderful to send a replacement. However, the replacement eyeliners ended up the same way as the original two I ordered. Does anyone have any suggesstions or tips on how to prevent this from happening? I know there has to be a trick to sharpening them due to all of the great reviews! Thanks!
