They had a weird presentation this morning. Last time I saw Eve Pearl on, she used a model without makeup and did a complete demo of the reverse contouring application. The show I saw with Rachel had a model with makeup on and she only showed a portion of the reverse contouring and held up a chart that showed the rest.
So I can't explain some of the things that happened today, but I CAN explain why it looked like she only applied foundation to the cheeks. She was demonstrating the reverse contour method on the cheeks and not the full face. She was not saying or implying that you only put the foundation on the cheeks.

First - obviously the model already had on a full face of makeup before they even started.I don't even have hi def TV and I could see that. Then they put the foundation on her cheeks only and present this as a new revolution in how to wear MU. - UMMM - what about her forehead, nose, upper lip, chin & neck areas.Who would only put foundation on their cheeks and no where else?
When I watch a presentation and it is obvious they are lying - then I just turn it off. If you have to lie to sell it - it's no good, either apply it to a clean face or admit the truth that she already has MU on.
I also think that the vendor has so much makeup on she will need to scrap it off with a spatula. I could see that without high def too.
So far I am not at all impressed with this product or vendor.
Hello @151949 - Please check out the Eve Pearl Q & A chat in the Today's Special Value forum - Eve Pearl Chat where she explains the presentation demos. She does explain why some of the models already have makeup on and why. It is not meant to mislead. Thanks!

I think it is to save time and hurry through the presentation. I have seen Mally and Laura do the same apply eye shadow on top of eye shadow, for example.
I am trying the light as the medium seemed too dark for me and I normally take a medium like for IT etc.

I just don't understand why they don't start off with fresh faces or, at the very least, leave half of the face bare to demonstrate. Slapping makeup over makeup only makes me less inclined to buy because it looks way overdone.

Even though I did not purchase the TSV, Eve gives out great tips for applying makeup, primer, etc. I enjoy watching her. I will have to take a look at her makeup line. ![]()

Don't you think this should be explained during the presentation? That would be the appropriate place to talk about why the models have MU on, not a forum where only a small % of the QVC viewers will see it.

Do you make this complaint after each makeup presentation or is Eve special?
Cuz the full face of makeup on models is a regular phenomenon regardless of vendor.
I like Eve, even though she was especially cranked up at midnight, and she gives great tips. I haven't tried her products (I'm considering the mascara duo) but I respect her for the award winning expert that she is in her chosen field.

@151949, I got her last TSV. And, it is really one of the nicest foundations I've used. It is especially good for mature skin. The brushes also are very good. My kit had the concealer with it, and that's better than most concealers I have.
Mary the dark hair model looked lovely with it and so did the gray hair lady.
You would be surprised if you gave it a try.
I threw it out in a week. I don't return used cosmetics but the formula was terrible for my skin and broke me out. The brushes were harsh and the blush was too pigmented.

I suppose I am not interested in "full coverage" make up.I don't have very much to have to cover up, pretty good skin - from good genes. I like light, natural MU so apparently, this Eve Pearl is not the correct choice for me.
Ever since I was a teenager my Mom would tell me to go light with MU or you'll look clownish. So I guess I should stick with my drug store brand that is light and natural. The "stage makeup" look is not for me.

It's not full coverage. I just disliked the formula.
