@AngelPuppy1 wrote:Does anyone have suggestions for similar places on line once drugstore.com closes down? I always found things there that I needed and used that I was having trouble finding locally. It was such a great resource -- they have/had so much and they were quick and reliable. I will miss them greatly.
Here's my suggestion: I went through my drugstore.com "list," and then googled to find where else I can purchase the key items I had liked buying from them. I found that I could get similar prices for them on amazon, sometimes walgreen or walmart, and also target. I should have also checked jet.com.
Thanks! I never heard of jet.com
@AngelPuppy1, I haven't ordered yet from them, but they do carry a wide variety of products. I did talk to their CS once and was impressed, but I know nothing else about them in terms of shipping, refunds, etc.
I have recently started ordering from Jet because I am finding the same things I can get from drugstore.com for much cheaper and they have 2 day free shipping too over $35 which is easy for me to get to. They have actually been cheaper than even Amazon at times- in fact, my most recent order was a bunch of dog supplements and treats and some vitamins for us that I normally get on Amazon but they were a few dollars cheaper than Amazon was! Plus, the more you buy, the more you save, which is nice for items I use daily and can stock up on. I have been impressed with them so far.
Drugstore used to be a great value but I've notice quite a change in their prices over the past few years.

UGH! I am on auto delivery for some products from drugstore.com and it really bums me out. To buy these products elsewhere, and for the sizes they have, is impossible. Were they actually going to post anything about this on their site for people like me (or send an email?) BTW, I just tried to get onto either website and they are not loading at this time (Mon @ 3:34pm)

Seems to be working fine now. I have a couple of deliveries scheduled, so no problems there so far. I will really miss them.

Sears dot com has Glysomed.
@SilleeMee- thanks. I just looked at Sears. They're using third party sellers and the prices are way, way, way too high. Amazon is the same way.

@HappyDaze- yeah!!! After I finish the 4 that I have and the 6 that I just ordered, I'll know where to find it, thanks! Several years ago, Walgreen's used to carry it in their stores.

@Funloving wrote:I hate that this effects beauty.com. They carried very hard to find prestige cosmetics and shades-- like my beloved Nars creme blush in "Penny Lane."
I too hadn't orderd in quite a while.
Well RATS!
I love Penny Lane also -- so natural looking! I need to check and see if Nars offers it on their website...

Yup -- I also received this one and one from Beauty.com, too. I expect I'll see more messages regarding the sites' impending doom. The end of an era.

Hate to see them close. I am also not a fan of Walgreen's.
