I do wait a little while between all the stuff I put on. I do other things while those things dry a little--brush teeth, dry hair, get dressed --that type of thing. Very rarely do I get those little balls from too many things at once. Read here some where from some one that she waits 15 minutes after using PTR retinol---no I never do that much time---

@wagirl - that may have been me.  I thought I read somewhere that one should wait after applying retinol so I did.  I'd put it on and then do stuff around the house then finish up my skin care.  Not doing that anymore.

I don't wait.  IMO, that would take too long to complete everything and be inconvenient.  My only exception is on myTretinoin nights.  I'll do my usual skincare sometime after dinner, but before 8:00.  At bedtime, I'll apply the Tretinoin and my lip mask.

Re: Waiting In Between Skincare Steps

I don't wait in between steps.  In fact, the more I read about it, it's better to apply the various layers while skin is damp.  It actually feels more hydrated than when I used to wait for each layer to dry before the next step.  My nighttime routine has ~10 steps so it used to be a long wait...LOL!  Now, after cleansing I use my spray "toner" (WEN Replenishing treatment mist), immediately followed by Hyaluronic Acid, then the rest of my serums & moisturizer.

@SurferWife ,  Do you have the same amount of steps for your morning routine, also?

@teganslaw

No.  I don't use Retinol and a few other serums that I save for nighttime.  Too many in the morning makes my make-up pill.

Maybe we should mix everything together in the palm of our hand, apply, and done! Not the sunscreen. I don't use a chemical sunscreen so it's applied over everything after it's dried.

One layer. No waiting.
