Re: WHY WHY WHY don't you put the Perricone on the face of someone

Some of the Perricone creams need you to use an upward motion and to go all the way behind the ears and up into the hair line. But not positive which ones needed to be applied that way.

Serious skin care also shows application of their skincare products. Not sure why anyone would have a problem with someone wanting more information on a product.

Yes, OP just asked a simple question.

Re: WHY WHY WHY don't you put the Perricone on the face of someone

I agree........some creams need to be patted on, others rubbed on upward, etc. I'm thinking in the under eye area, eye creams should probably be patted on, to prevent stretching of the very delicate skin. At least that's what we were told to do a hundred years ago. (lol)

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I can't believe others don't want to watch them apply the creams to the face of a model?

Are you interested in whether they turn the model's skin red or the cream makes their skin look irritated? I have seen that in other brand's on QVC, where they apply a cream and the model's skin turns bright red.

Perhaps you are asking about the sequence when applying Perricone products?{#emotions_dlg.confused1}

I just realized you may be asking if the product should be gently warmed in the hands and then pressed on rather than rubbed into the skin. Didn't you use Creme de la Mer? I remember there was a learning curve with that.

Re: WHY WHY WHY don't you put the Perricone on the face of someone

I think Dana does a good job of describing how to use the creams (especially the one in the tube). She says to go up and be sure to apply it all the way behind your ears.

And Dana may not (or may depending on your perception) look "younger" but she does look darn good. I don't know what her age is and honestly couldn't guess (I think she's in her 40s). I just think she's very pretty and has beautiful skin. Which is what most of us want - nice looking skin regardless of how old we are, or how old we look. I don't think most of us are trying to look younger. I know I don't buy a cream with the hopes of looking younger.

I actually think most of that "this cream needs rubbing, this needs patting, apply this upward, massage in circular motions" stuff is hogwash. The cream doesn't know how you're applying it. Be gentle, don't tug or pull, if you're going to rub, go against gravity, not with it - I think that applies for everything. I used to rub, now I usually use a pressing movement instead because it feels better and then I don't tug or irritate my skin. I do the same thing with all my treatments and moisturizers and the only thing I rub or massage in is my cleanser.

Geez, I don't think it matters either way but think OP was just pointing out it's face cream so why aren't they demonstrating on the face? Surely not a reason for attack.

It would be nice if I had a photo to show....but it does matter for lymph drainage and blood flow, thus (supposedly) reducing lines & wrinkles. I firmly believe in facial massage (no need for gadgets). What better way to apply creams & things on your skin than following the graph - if only I could find one to insert!

Thanks, Harpa. Lisa Eldridge has a great video for facial massage for lymph drainage. Here's a link to her blog with a video. (warning: video auto-plays and is very long!) She does it with her cleansing balm instead of her moisturizers or treatments.

Personally, I would not ever purchase Perricone products because the vendor always states "users thought that their skin appeared....". That's anecdotal info, not scientific statistics. I want to know how the skin responded to products using scientific methods of measuring the effects on the skin. Wrinkles can be measured as well as skin firmness and levels of moisturization, etc.

For the price of Perricone products, they should have independent lab studies done to prove the efficacy of the various items.

I totally agree!! I've thought the same thing every time I've watched a presentation. I want independent laboratory measured results! I can hardly remember what I looked like this morning in the mirror, much less 4 weeks ago......
