I have my own personal conspiracy theory lol. It's our hair stylists--they hate that they can't sell us tons of whatever products they sell and make extra money every visit. My reason behind this theory: I've been to several different salons trying to find someone new since my old salon closed. Every single one of them has had something bad or crazy to say about Wen and then they go on to try and sell me whatever they carry. Honestly, most of them have no clue what they are talking about.

whoa! I guess they think those tactics will help convince some to buy whatever they sell at their salon. I would have more respect if they just said something like "...oh you use wen, ok but let me show you what we sell here..." they don't have to knock wen to make a sale. There's room for everyone in the marketplace!

That's really not too far fetched. I had said something to my stylist about liking my cut (he lets me use Wen) and he said "look out Chaz Dean, I'm coming for you" (or something to that effect). It was all tongue and cheek but my gut said there is some truth to it.

I am sure Chaz's competitors are floating around here.

My favorite was the one last year where one user would post demands on her for Chaz to do Lisa Robenson's (spelling?) hair on air from start to finish or she take out her extensions (which she just did). The user would have a countdown in his/her/its posts. They were hysterical.

I agree with you and KoKathy. I went to a stylist who said I could bring WEN but when I did, he had his own line in the salon and kept making comments such as, "I have a lab too, you know I didn't mix mine in a bath tub," and he kept wanting to cut my new growth that had no split ends, but he couldn't adequately explain how that would help me. I got out of there.

Ok, well now I don't feel like such a conspiracy theory nut lol. I worked as a receptionist for a while at a hair salon, so I know that stylists can make a pretty good chunk of extra change if they can sell all their clients multiple products. I also know that some of their clients would buy anything their stylist recommended and believe anything their stylist said.

Yes, you can set your calendar, Sabear, to the appearance of the negative threads by new posters as well as the bringing up of old ones. The 'original' Wen and Hair Loss thread was brought up last week by yet another disgruntled user who just happened to be Googling for info on the subject. Uh huh. It's actually kind of funny what lengths people go to try and come across as being legitimate. They cover all of the bases that they know from having read prior comments: from being long time users and one time lovers of the product, to having already gone to see their dermatologist ( either after having one episode of hair loss OR waiting 2 years to go- you pick! Both are ridiculous), to my new favorite...being dog lovers!

It is unfortunate that people chose to do this. It has caused an atmosphere of disbelief or doubt when people who truly have an allergic reaction or legitimate issue with the line and decided to comment. I try very hard to take each of these types of posts with an open mind but some are so obvious that I don't care any more if I come across as being snarky on the rare occasion I choose to even comment. As far as why someone would do this, my thoughts are that this was started by a competitor of Wen way back with the original thread I noted above. It took off from there.

lovemygigi, lol, I just about lost it when I read your "just happened to be googling for info" comment. They must keep those threads on speed dial. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

You’re so welcome bebe. They remind me of the ole Irish blessing.

May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles
So we will know them by their limping.

There are days when I can just hear the thump, thump, thump sounds from on any given thread.
