Re: WEN buildup on bathtub??

@dooBdoo. I think I know who the poster was who made the Linea comments.   If a white blouse was being offered....She would make a comment  about it being something very ordinary that she could buy at Kmart (or some other discount retailer).  Yes, remarks like this are often very calculated by the poster making them, and do cause a bit of a stir when posted here.  And the person making them knows that is what the result will be!

That's a shame about his studio.  And you are right - he has no excuse.  Bad product is bad product.

I've used WEN for many years.  I do not have build up and my stylist calls clarifying shampoos a scam.  WEN has been great for my hair.  But it may not be for everyone.  I have no love for NC products but I never feel the need to bash on message boards.  A family member said her hair became "hard" when she used NC products.  But she never claims they won't work for someone else.  What's with the over the top attacks and silly topics on tub build up?

I was a corrective colorist for about 15 yrs before I became an esthetician and I have never heard one single stylist call clarifying shampoos a scam, it is because they are not @liliblu. They are especially necessary for those who use a good amount of styling products because they can cause color and relaxers to not be able to penetrate as well as they would without buildup and that doesn't give color or other services the best results possible. They are also necessary for those who have hard water because of the high mineral content. People with oily hair also benefit from clarifying/chelating shampoos. All of these things can prevent conditioner, relaxers and color from penetrating the hair and/or cuticle to give the best results.
