Hi Ladies!! I have a question. I am getting my roots touched up this weekend. What I would normally do when I was using regular shampoo and conditioner is to wait a week before shampooing after getting my touch up. Since WEN doesn't strip the color, what would you all recommend I do? Should I wait a few days and cleanse, or go a whole week? Any advice would be great. Thank you!

I'm sure everyone is different, but I shampoo with WEN either the day I get my roots done, or the next day. I've never had a problem with the color changing.

I color my own hair and use WEN to cleanse the color out and put Remoist in immediately - no color loss.

I also color my own hair. I use the cleanse, rinse, repeat after I rinse out the color, then sleep in a Remoist/613 mix overnight.
Tomorrow, I'll run my 6 miles, then rinse out the Remoist when I shower after.
My color has never rinsed out or faded using WEN.

Thank you all for your responses! I am going to just stick to my normal WEN schedule and see how that works for me.

I usually wait at least 24 hours after any color service; I then cleanse with 613.

Arianny, I don't color my hair so I don't really know anything about that process.
That said, I wouldn't recommend using either the TT or CA CCs, at least while your color is setting (whatever that means). Some people have mentioned that these two CC formulas can take bit of the color out. Not a lot, but still some. It's my impression that once the color has had time to set (maybe a week?) that the TT and CA are less likely to remove color. -- I'm guessing that FIG and SAM (or maybe POM) would help add moisture to your hair. LAV might be a bit drying.
Could someone who colors their hair comment on what I've said, because I don't want to be giving out incorrect information. Thanks

While I don't color my hair, every 3-4 months I give myself a Joico K-PAC protein treatment. For my thin/fine hair, it just adds a needed boost my regular use of the Seasonals & 613.
After I wash the K-PAC out with CC, I immediately put on the Re-Moist on my wet hair and I keep it on for the next 24 -36 hours. I always do this treatment on a friday night so that I can repair my hair with Re-Moist (and help prevent possible hair breakage). -- I don't prime my hair with CC first but some people do.
Below are three links that may be helpful. In Chaz's blog, he suggest regularly refreshing hair with RTM as a was to add mousture.
Best of luck!!!

As an alternative to a remoist treatment, has anyone tried doing an overnight 613 CC treatment before having their hair colored? Would having a boost of amino acids in the hair be helpful before having it colored?
