Yesterday when I was washing my hair before cutting it off, my comb snapped in the shower (that's how much hair I was working with!). It was a Goody with a hook for hanging it in the shower. It served its purpose, but now I need a new one. I have never had a WEN comb. Is it worth investing in? I am waitlisted for the Re-moist set, but I can't wait that long for a new comb and I don' know for certain that I will even get it. I was looking on the 'bay and see a few different listings for the WEN comb. Would it be wise to trust those sellers or should I order from CD.com?

KitchenFairy, since the Wen Comb is made of resin, I've read that it can break if it's dropped too many times. I've already dropped mine a few times without breaking it, but I do my best not to drop it. FYI, usually Chaz has a Mother's Day special in May in which he give a 20% discount on all products plus free shipping. So it might me worth it to wait to buy the Wen comb. I've read that a lot of the Amazon and ebay combs are not the real thing and don't measure up to the real Wen comb.

I purchased the Wen comb a few months ago and it has exceeded my expectations. I mean I thought Chaz was great and all... but what was a Wen comb really going to do. Well, it turns out, a whole lotta stuff. I posted most of this before, but it bears repeating...

Here's why I like the Wen comb so much...

* When I comb my hair after washing it, there's much less breakage (down by 50%)

* The comb is saw cut instead of molded. This means that there isn't a mold line down the inside center of the comb which would rough up the hair cuticles and weaken the individual strands of hair.

* The comb glides effortlessly through wet and dry hair. It feels great against my scalp. The comb's teeth are tapered for comfort.

* One side of the comb has wider teeth and the other side has narrower teeth. The spacing on the wide side is perfect to minimize breakage. The spacing on the narrower side is perfect to provide maximum hair definition while minimizing breakage.

* From an aesthetic perspective, the comb itself is beautifully designed so it's not an eyesore in the bathroom.

and my latest reason...

* I have really thin/fine frizzy hair. Using Wen has helped tame my hair a lot, but there's only so much that it can do. Since using the Wen comb for the past three months, I've noticed that my new hair growth is less frizzy. The hair that's only had the Wen comb running through it is less damaged which is resulting in happier healthier hair!!

My comb came today in the set with the remoist supersize deal! I cannot wait I use it tomorrow morning in the shower! I did comb through my hair when I got it (of course!) and it feels amazing on the scalp :-) I will tell you, though, be careful of where you purchase it, as I have seen some stories of fake Wen combs out there.

I love my comb. I was going to buy a second one for out of the shower and travel so I was happy to get the one in the set this visit.

I will get more combs and brushes when Chaz has another sale on his site. I did that on Black Friday.

Last time I went to get my hair cut, my stylist was saying that she just ordered a bunch of combs for work and they were so expensive because you can't use the cheap $.99 combs from Target. I just laughed to myself because Chaz says the same thing.

I really like my WEN combs! I got one for the shower and one for my vanity. Have dropped the shower one on the tile floor a couple of times with no problems, so they are sturdy. I'd say they are worth the money.

I literally opened my two (TT set with comb and ReMoist with comb) yesterday in front if my daughter and before I could do anything she was walking out with one of my combs. I guess I need another if I want one in the shower and one out.

lol, she knows quality wen she sees it. Chaz generally has a Mother's Day special on his site during which he offers a 20% discount and free shipping on all orders. If you can hold off a few months, you could get them at a great price then (and maybe one more for your daughter).
