Interestingly enough, I had been using lavender and TT for most of my washes and noticed thinning....and hair on my hands and on shower floor (but NOT gobs as some have said.) I had some BGT that I used once in a while. I used it tonight and noticed much less hair on my hands and shower floor. Perhaps the other two formulas are a bit more harsh on my scalp and hair? I might use the BGT for my next couple of washes to see what happens. Maybe it's simply a formula intolerance for me.

I experienced hair loss from Wen. I used it for three years and when I would shower my hair would come out in what looked like clumps. I thought it was hormonal at the time...however, when I quit using Wen....and the problem was solved. I will never buy any of these products again. I understand this wont happen to everyone...

Nope I don't buy any Wen products anymore. No more Wen Kids for her....just a Malibu treatment now and then to brighten her hair due to the rust in our water. I have quit using the entire line.

Those who have not experienced hair loss using WEN find it easy to say that WEN doesn't cause hair loss. I had to stop using WEN because I lost twice as much hair during a shampoo as I did when using any other shampoo. I have tried WEN a couple of times, hoping I wouldn't have the hair loss, but had the same issue each time. I've spent a lot of money on WEN products, and am using up what I have left by using the cleaners as a body wash.

The question is, we're you losing the same amount in regular shedding out of the shower or did you have thinning spots? What some new WEN users don't understand is that without all the shedding you used to do, you use the WEN comb to get rid of the hair that is ready to go in the shower. So, I don't have hair on my clothes, in my bed or on my carpet BUT I throw out a wad of hair every time I get out of the shower. The longer my hair gets, of course, the larger the wad of hair. I have no thinning, no balding. My hair is the best ever after 3 yrs of WEN. The hair coming out averages 75-200 pcs of hair per day. It varies with season and hair growing cycle.

I used WEN for 18 months, I have VERY long hair and I have MS. I liked WEN because it simplified my daily routine and made my hair very easy to manage. I quit using at 18 months because my hair was falling out from my scalp in LONG pieces in gobs. I take many meds for my illness so I had my PC check my thyroid, do blood work and check my scalp for inflammation or irritation. All my tests came back just fine so I discontinued using WEN. Within 2 weeks, the hair fall-out had all but stopped, within a month, I was back to normal with no fall-out. That was 2 years ago and my hair is just fine using drugstore Clarifying shampoo.

I have no axe to grind, I know it works wonderfully for MANY people but it did not work for me over time. There is NO reason to berate or try to humiliate people who have problems with this product. Everything doesn't work for everybody, that is the nature of life.

BTW, I took my 3/4 gallon bottle of WEN to my local Food Pantry and we pumped it into many, many, many smaller containers and handed it out to clients who need hair cleansing products or conditioner.

Amazing that a food pantry where they should follow guidelines would allow an open and used product to be distributed. Just like used makeup cannot be accepted by Good Will or the Salvation Army or Shelters, I don't understand this.

Plus, if the product causes hair loss, then why the heck would you want to cause hair loss in homeless people or people who need hair products?

You should have just thrown out your Wen. Or used it on your legs and underarms if it removes your hair!!!
