I have heard Chaz say that hair spray is bad for our hair but I see that the Volumizing Treatment Spray has alcohol in it also. So my question is what is the difference? I love Wen so don't get me wrong!!! I am not talking bad about his products I just wanted to know what is wrong with hair spray and the VTS.

You are right the VTS does have alcohol but Chaz also added witch hazel to the VTS so he wouldn't have use as much alcohol in the formulation. VTS is treatment based as well; not sure if traditional hairsprays have treatment ingredients.

I use it sparingly and feel like it's really no different in how it leaves my hair feeling. If I use it too often, it leaves me feeling dry.

Here's the only difference I can confirm: One day I sprayed it on and left the house to have lunch with friends. After hugs, one asked me what perfume I was wearing. He had his face right on my hair when he hugged me and I wasn't wearing perfume, I was wearing WEN VTS in Sweet Almond Mint, so I told him. He wanted me to get some for his wife. I can honestly say that's never happened to me with any hairspray.

Is hairspray going to make your hair break off or just dry it out?

I am not a CC girl (they just do not work for me), however, I LOVE many of Chaz's other products, including the Mists and Oils. I'm curious about this product and if it "sets" hair like a hair spray??? I'm currently using a hair spray I'm not fond of and won't buy again but I'm trying to use it up. Thanks.

I never use hair spray anymore, if I ever want to use something I use VTS

Does the SAM and LAV VTS smell like the CCs? I know the styling cream for the SAM, at least to me, does not smell like either the CC, oil or remoist.
