Hello all,
I have fine hair that gets super dry at the ends. I do not wash it every day, but I do get in wet in the shower every day. I use tea tree conditioner rather than shampoo, but after I blow dry it seems to frizz out and look dehydrated at the ends.
I need some suggestions on a great volumizing product (mousse, spray, cream, etc.) and also a leave-in conditioner or hydrating cream.
Let me know what you have used that has worked for you!
Thanks in advance ![]()

Ojon Revitalizing Mist. Available at ojon.com and Ulta
Jonathon Product Silky Dirt Available at dermstore.com, drugstore.com, folica.com.
I use the mist before blow drying and the dirt lightly after styling to smooth things out.

I have used L'ANZA products and I would say they are the best beauty shop products. I'm sure they have new products but I always liked the ""Trauma Treatment"". It was a good leave-in.

Is Tee Tree the best cleansing conditioner for your hair? I thought that was recommended for those who have excessive oil issues. I'm not an expert on Wen or cleansing conditioners by any means yet seem to recall Chaz always recommending the TT for more oily headed ladies.
A really good drugstore product (and I don't use most drugstore hair products) is the Infusion leave in conditioner. It leaves the hair feeling so silky but doesn't weigh it down either. I have very fine hair so I avoid products that weigh hair down.
I just saw a commercial in the last day or so about a new Infusion Leave In product and it sounded great. Might have many of the ingredients you are hoping to find. I'd definitely recommend checking the line out. I have not used their other products but I always have a bottle of the leave in on hand. Think the leave-in product I get is Infusion 23.
To boost your hair in a cheap and quick way, try a VO-5 Oil mask (drugstore, Ulta, Target, etc) When I need a quick hydration boost, I often use one of them. They come in tubes, filled with oil, and you warm it up in the microwave, apply all over on dry hair (and especially the ends in your case) then continue on with your normal washing and conditioning routine. They really work well and you will see a difference after one use. If my hair has gotten drier than usual, I sometimes use a second one before my next shampoo. I've never required more than 2 treatments in a row. They used to come in a box of 3 tubes or on special deals of 5 per box. Very inexpensive yet effective.
Two tips that I learned over the years is to (1) focus your regular conditioner on the bottom half of your hair, especially the ends. And (2) when you dry your hair right after washing (or anytime really) never rub the towel all over the head randomly. That causes the hair to frizz which you might not notice until it's dry. Instead gently blot the hair all over as that allows the cuticle to close and greatly reduces frizz. Just gently blot, blot, blot.
There are so many fabulous products out there today that I am sure you'll get some great suggestions. Might not be until morning now but they'll come.

For volume, I like Big Sexy Hair volumizing blow dry gel. I have baby fine, straight hair and this gives it quite a bit of volume that lasts. It is pricey though. Don't have any suggestions for the dry ends but I'm sure others will chime in.

I have recently started using Living Proof which is a leave in styling conditioning cream. You just need a small amount that you run through damp hair. I have very fine hair and it actually gives me body and a nice shine, and I don't even blow dry! I ordered mine from Nordstrom's which is free shipping and free samples too. I like it very much because it works and doesn't leave a gooey residue in my hair.
