OMG I got this today and what a mess it made of my hair.  It looks like it was chemically burnt and it's all frizz.

Did you just do the under layers? You're not suppose to use it where you can see the crimps.

Maybe try placing the crimps where there's enough hair to go over it. Sometimes shortening the crimp time will help, too. That will make the crimps less crimpy and less frizzy with just a subtle amount of lift. Probably need to play around with it until you feel it looks right. You should have seen my hair the first time I used it! LOL! Woman LOL

I'm sending mine back. I don't think it is worth the money. While I did see a little lift to my hair it is not enough for me to keep this.

@rms1954 @What hair type and length do you have?  And, which size Valoom did you get?  My rootie was  delivered today, but I'm not home to try it.

The rootie.  Short to med length.  Slightly wavy, flat no volume.

I'll try and work with it.  It looks like fuzz.

Voloom suggests styling your hair first, like you normally would, then use the Voloom where you need lift.

You have to be careful with the voloom and make sure you have enough of a top layer of hair to cover the crimpy part. I section off the top of my hair from the top of the temples all around the back of my head and I crimp what’s underneath that section, not getting too close to my face.  I part my hair on the side and then crimp about an inch underneath my part. I also use a heat protector styling spray when blow drying. For me it gives volume at the roots like nothing else. I crimp from the roots and go down about two inches.  My hair is longer, past my collar bone.
