Venting - What would YOU do?

I ordered a mask from AMZN that I like and I've ordered from this vendor many times. However, this time it took almost a MONTH to get the product. Some of the mask (I suppose due to heat exposure) had oozed out of the jar and turned black and moldy. There was mold around the mouth of the jar and the lid. I removed the mold and cleaned the lid, because I planned to use the product tonite. Now, I'm having 2nd thoughts.

What would you do?

1) Don't use a product with mold.

2) Contact the seller via Amazon and express your displeasure with this shipment.

Do not use it!!

Call or email Amazon CS, as they'll not be happy either with this vender. They are super to deal with and are fast with refunds. I doubt they'll want you to send it back as it's considered toxic. If you choose to email send a pic attached, but I doubt that's necessary.

How awful for you!

I can't believe I actually "cleaned" the mold off the jar, the rim and the lid, intending to use this on my face!! Am I a moron or what? {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Email Amazon and they will make it right. I had a problem with the packaging a vendor sent my merchandise therefore damaging it. They refunded me my money immediately.

No, you are not a moron. Just a crazed beauty fanatic like the rest of us on this board. You came here because we are the voice of reason and we set you straight. You would do the same for us in a minute. Wink

It's obvious to me what to do - contact them & give them the chance to make it good with a replacement.

I would not use the product.

We live in an imperfect world. I would not think badly of a vendor because of something like this as long as they respond with good CS.

Re: Venting - What would YOU do?

If an item doesn't come in time, Amazon will immediately credit you back. Same if it is defective. You don't have to wait for the vendor to do it. Amazon will get it back from them. But if you contact the vendor, often they will make it right. I bought my daughter an iPhone case, $60, and the cover wasn't right. I emailed the vendor and they emailed right back and are mailing a new one. Amazon IS THE BEST VENDOR, BAR NONE. Also, I have had a vendor send me a refund and tell me to keep an item. Amazon sent me a new Kindle even before I sent a defective one back, and I was out of warranty, course I buy a ton from then and have for many years.
