it also was probably not the best time to decide to count the hairs in the tub drain. A frightening amount. Possibly the oil plus massaging it in . Well see Ill count again next time.
I went to a hair specialist and she found that my ferritin was 17 and in order for good growth and to get hair out of the shedding phase it has to be 75-100. If you have thinning hair please ask for this test. Its not the normal iron test that was fine it is the FERRITIN which is what your body stores. Mine is out of whack due to the digestive issues .
I have also been eating a vegan diet for the last three years to help with my issues so I may have been lacking something so Im taking a good whole foods vitamin and B12 and some iron so its helping my fingernails so hopefully that means its correcting something I was lacking.
That's how you learn... by trial and error. There's really no harm in using too much jojoba oil. It just makes a bit of a sticky mess. You'll just have to spend a bit more time cleansing the excess oil out of your hair tomorrow morning.
btw, is the B12 supplement you take a protected B12? If your B12 isn't protected, it gets destroyed by the acid environment of the stomach.

Vitamin B12 frequently gets destroyed by stomach acid. It can be protected by having it combined with something else that isn't affected by the stomach environment. This way the B12 stays intact in the stomach. Once it is in the alkaline environment of the small intestine it can be absorbed. Most B12 isn't protected because it is much more expensive to do this. The B12 I take (which is protected) is from procapslabs dot com. I get most of my vitamins from them because I think they have the best supplements around. A lot of the times my body can actually "feel the difference" with their vitamins. They have an 800 number, so you can call them and they'll provide you with more info. Another thing I like about them is that you can ask them a bunch of questions about their vitamins and there is never any hard sell to make you buy products.
Best of luck!!

This brand happens to work especially well for me (I've tried dozens of brands over the years) but I really appreciate their CS department for all the info they provide. The best thing to do is always take your time and search out info on various brands. Their iron supplements are the only ones that have even worked for me (but that's just my body chemistry *s*). If you have any questions, I'll be happy to try to answer them.
