A short but true story. A friend of mine who can afford any hair care product of her heart's desire, bought drugstore shampoo/conditioner----and I mean the kind under $3. Her hair looks great. When I questioned her, she said that she tried it all, $-$$$$$ and found it all pretty much worked the same for her.
She chooses to put he money into her obsession--handbags, lol.
There are some great hair products out there, for sure. I'm just amused that, like Heart of Spade, there is a new 'concept' every hot minute.

It doesn't work for me personally, but I think that your scalp and skin adapt a lot to their environment. If you use shampoo and it dries out your scalp, your body compensates by producing more oils. If I could get away with conditioner only, I'd just on it!
I think there are so many pollutants in our air that using plain water isn't enough anymore as it may have years ago. Additionally, hair, especially, picks up every little scent it comes in contact with.

Everyone has their own method of how they make it work for them. (Even though Chaz repeatedly states that you must use the number of pumps directed, etc., etc. or you won't like the results.) I've read that some "faithful users" even incorporate shampoo into their "cleansing" routine at certain intervals!
By their statements on this forum, it is the Wen users, themselves, who have debunked the cleansing conditioner craze.
And what logical theory of deduction do you embrace?? You think that the few posters on the WEN Board represent ALL users of WEN and the random few that state they also use shampoo sometimes- somehow in your limited sampling debunks the whole theory of cleansing conditioners. I would say you have chosen very selective information to prove your point- which is not a very 'scientific' method of analysis at all.

O/P, keep using what works for you. Don't be swayed by anyone else's opinions or experiences. Your hair, your skin, is unique to you.
The OP said she is using Renpure Keratin conditioner. Only some posters have chosen to make it about Wen.
I believe that that was Serena's point.
This issue, no matter how it's stated, always turns into a battle about Wen. In this thread, the battle started early, in Post #10, despite the poster's use of "who shall go nameless!"

That's your opinion, but is it necessary to be insulting to those who try something different?
Not very nice!

I have very dry hair. Always have and so far it has never changed. I've washed just using conditioners before. To tell you the truth, there is not that much difference. At least with my hair. I only wash my hair twice a week to begin with. It's that dry.

I love what WEN has done for my hair and I get so many compliments from my hairdresser who has seen the change through the years. I would never go back, you can keep your shampoo. Reminds me of the folks who used iodine and babyoil for suntan lotion. That was cheap too!I've been using shampoo for 51 years and my hair is just fine. Now, suddenly shampoo is pure evil in a bottle. I'm not sure why this all started except that someone (who shall go nameless!) was trying to make a buck. I LOVE Wen also and hope "someone" ("who shall go nameless!!!!!) has all the riches and happiness he deserves for making such an awesome product!!!

Hello,
Hope you find a great product that works well for you.
I would like to say that I used to have very dry, broken, split ends, and had no choice but to wear my hair very short. Since using only WEN by Chaz Dean my hair is healthy, strong, and has amazing volume, it is past my bra now. His products never weigh down my fine hair. Additionally Chaz's products are CRUELTY FREE as he does NO animal testing and he uses NO aerosols to pollute our beautiful planet.
No need for me to list EVERY WEN product, I'm sure you are able to look them up for yourself, when you do you will see what great choices there for all hair types.
Good luck with improving your hair.
