Using a BHA exfoliating gel AND serum--can I use both?

Ok, you ladies who know all them stuff: I am using a 2 percent BHA exfoliating gel, and a serum. So can I use these both? Which do I apply first? Then do I need a moisturizer over those?

I am so confused. Can you help me sort this out?
