Why don't we keep our shades shut and lights turned off & live in the dark?

I agree.  As with so many things in this era of information (overload??),social media, etc, it has been taken to the extreme.

Although not a sunscreen, the least you can do is apply a vitamin C serum. It is a sun-protection product and can help reduce the bad effects from free radicals which result from sun exposure. Wear VC under your sunscreen and that will boost sun protection but don't rely on just VC to protect your skin from the sun.

When my husband was alive he got stopped and got a ticket for 200, but, he had a friend thru the church and just had to pay 60. But the tint got removed.

Back in the 80s I drove a Nissan Maxima.  I had all the windows tinted very very dark.  I got stopped once for my inspection sticker being out.  I knew why I was being stopped.  I rolled down my very dark window waving the inspection sticker and said, "I've got it, my husband just hasn't put it on yet".

They just laughed.  Didn't say anything about the color of my tint or that my months out of date inspection sticker wasn't on my windshield yet.

Here in Colorado there are restrictions on how dark the tint can legally be on car windows. All of the places where they do window tinting know how dark they can be by law. My car windows are the darkest they can be legally. They aren't so dark that you can't see the people sitting inside the car. The tint film they used has a UV filter so it protects the inside of my car from getting sun damage...fading/cracking...that sort of thing.

I might have had to sign a waiver...that sounds familiar but I'm not sure.  That was in 1983.  They may not do it today.

I was being sarcastic.
