I have well oiled skin naturally, so that is the angle I am coming from. In the past I dived into the popular oils of the day, believing the hype that they are good even for oily skin. Nonsense!
I use various cleansers as masks--Vit C, Glycolic, etc. The results have been amazing. Gone are the stubborn deep bumps and millia. I do this at bedtime sometimes, other times during the day for hours when I am at home.
For moisturizing when I need it, a serum. Any good one will do.
I am now using all my collected oils and moisturizers on my body and hair.

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier; I hope others do!
No one (I don't think) has ever brought up such an idea! Wonderful that it is working so nicely for you!
All those good things, (the vit. C & glycolics) sitting on your skin, if it is not in your treatment or moisturizer has to be good for you!
I should add: supposedly there are oils and there are oils. Some are good for oily skin, some not so much. Maybe that is where you've not experienced the results you were looking for.

I recall that Dimitri has mentioned doing this with his Skinn cleansers. I do it when I have time in the evenings before bed. Nice to get double use out of products with active ingredients.
I find that some oils sit on my skin and others penetrate so I wonder if you just havent' found the oil for you. But I also do like you do: Use products on my body that don't work on my face.

I found that for my oily-natural skin type, I did not need additional oils, regardless of claims that additional oils after cleansing balanced out the skin.

Just to prove again - there's theory and then there's practice. ![]()

Just to emphasize, for the last several hours I have originally lathered on my face a vit. C turmeric cleanser. My skin has turned to velvet and I may not rinse off at all today. What brand, you may ask? Something I bought at TJ Maxx after reading the ingredient label and seeing it was all good.
