@Nightowlz, I have an Ulta very close to me and there are a few others in the Pittsburgh area. They have a rewards program which allows points to accumulate to give you money off of a future purchase. Their Platinum Rewards never expire plus you accumulate points faster. I believe that you have to spend $400 in a year to qualify. So say you have 400 points, that converts to a dollar amount (not $400) and you can use that amount to purchase something. They also offer 20% coupons during the year that can be used on many prestige lines. Some do not qualify though.

We also have a fairly new Ulta in our town, our population is about 90,000. Our Ulta has a Benefit Brow bar, and they also do facials and it has a hair salon. It is quite big and I love going even when I do not purchase, it's just fun to see all of the colors and items up close!I was so excited to hear about Ulta that I went there opening day-it was so crowded but fun! Ours has only been open a year!

I like going to Ulta every so often, and usually look for sales on products I use.  I agree that you can easily find better pricing elsewhere on some of the premiere items.  I am not even tempted to rack up points by buying overpriced items.  For me, those promotionals cause an overstocking of products, which I really hate.

All I can say is at least we will now have an Ulta. If I need something in a hurry at least there is some place to shop for it besides, Sally's, Wal-Mart or other drugstores.

I won't be in there buying things at regular prices. I will wait until they have a sale. I have got some good deals on Black Fri online.

When you live where I live & not much is available it's nice when some place like Ulta opens. Our closest Ulta, Sam's larger Malls etc are all a 3 hr round trip for us. I always have to shop online if I want to find what I'm looking for.

The population in the town I live in is just over 50,000. More then I thought.

Platinum rewards also gives you  an e mail coupon to print out or use online for $10 off anything in store no restrictions for your birthday. Plus you can get more points 2X vs $1 value if Platinum. Occasionally there will be 5X points that you can activate via e mail for online or store orders on Premium brands like Bare Minerals, Urban Decay or Lancôme.

I love Ulta.  I have several by me that I can go to.  Their sales force knows the store very well.  If I ask them what I am looking for, they seem to know where all the brands are that sell the item, everything from cheap to expensive, which I like.  If I want to try something that is not a sample, they have no problem with opening a package for me to sample.  As for Whole Foods, all of them in my area have gone out of business.

We got an ULTA here a couple years ago. It took me a long time to finally check it out but I am glad I did. We have a Sephora nearby, too. I like both stores but buy very little at either of them. Nice for a few specific products I use, etc.

I just found out they are putting in an Ulta here. Cannot believe it. Hope they do enough business to stay open. Will be nice not to have to order online or shop there when I make the 3 hr round trip drive. I just hope they stock as much stuff at the Ulta's I have been in. The stores here don't seem to have as much selection.

Now if they would just open a Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Costco, Sam's or a lot of other places. We did just get a Schlotzky's that also sells Cinnabons.

The ones I've been to don't have much of a selection.  And it kinda grosses me out to see all the testers that have had a million fingers in them.

I love Ulta. I just hit 4000 points today. It took me awhile to learn how to make the most of being a Platinum member. Check your emails before you shop to activate your offers. Today I got an email for 5x points on Philosophy good until Sunday.
