Re: Ulta sales person "warned" me (Philosphy products)

@BirkiLady

I love Philosophy’s body emulsions for exactly the reasons you’ve mentioned. I’m still able to get my favorite Field of Flowers, but I know that won’t last forever. I was getting the Field of Flowers trio on auto delivery for years before Philosophy terminated that fragrance. I’ve still got a stash of the old spritzers (the scent from the body emulsion lasted long enough without the spritzer). I wish Philosophy would make an unscented body emulsion that you could use with or without a scent. I’ve tried Pure Grace, but it’s not quite what I want. However, I’ll use it if that’s all I can get. It’s such a shame that Coty tampered with the Philosophy fragrance formula. I remember seeing complaints about scent dissipation shortly after Coty bought the company. They had a goldmine and  now they’re alienating their customers because they’re too greedy to stick with a winner.

I purchased the  philosophy TSV during the holidays, the bath and shower gel, smells odd.  The old fragrance is there but intertwined with 'something'....I will not purchase any more of their scents, and I  loved Pure Grace.

Re: Ulta sales person "warned" me (Philosphy products)

I posted this in another thread about Philosophy - I used the Amazing Grace shimmer lotion on my arms and sprayed the spritzer on my chest area.  Then on my sweater I wore that day, I lightly sprayed the AG fragrance spray.  A week later I pulled the sweater out of the laundry basket and I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful AG scent!

I've never tried the actual perfume version of Amazing Grace, but continue to purchase the fragrance spray and spritzer.

I did too...and returned my Pure Grace TSV...the shower gel was off...way off. Someone said it was the musk.

I still love Philosophy.  I wear it every day, and find the fragrance infused in my clothes and bedding.  Pure, Living, FIL, Lemon Custard, Fresh Cream, Snow Angel - these are my current favorites.

I shower and shampoo with the gel (I also use the OO scrub sometimes) and slather with creme or souffle and lotion or emulsion, spray with spritz and sometimes EDP, and I smell good all day.  I get "sniffed" all the time.  Plus my skin feels nice.  The hand creams are the best I've used.

It's been 11 years since the Coty buyout.

@Sweetbay magnolia- How does the EDP compare with the regular fragrance spray?  Can you really tell a notable difference?  I really want to try the AG EDP.  I see that the Q doesn't have it at the moment.  I'm wondering if they're out of stock or no longer carrying the EDP?

I have used purity for years, and it's still the best makeup remover I've ever used.  As far as the scents from this line, I've never been someone who wanted others to smell me walk by.  If it's that strong, I wouldn't like it.

Re: Ulta sales person "warned" me (Philosphy products)

You'd think that with so many people complaining about (especially Amazing Grace) Coty would go back to the 'old' Amazing Grace (or at least 1/2 way closer to the old Amazing Grace).

I guess (like so many things today) the customer is no longer always right!  Heck!  These days it's more like 'to heck with what the customer....it's the bottom line that matters'.   I do know that when something isn't carrying it's load (making much money) it's up to the other line of products to pick up the load....I guess that's what Coty's other products are doing.

Because I find it hard to believe that (with so many people complaining about the product) it must affect sales.

I just thought of something.  People who don't have a signature cologne probably think we are crazy (hummm??? in my case...maybe a little right) and I doubt they'd never understand....

When you think of how important the sense of smell is to our being...it shouldn't be surprising that some of us would have a signature (or maybe call it...a smell that takes us here, there and brings us back)...how's that fellow signatures....?

I think we're the lucky one's.  I just wish Coty would listen to us...

HI, @San Antonio Gal - I think the EDP is true to it's name, and I wish it were more widely available.  The spritz is pleasant and will carry fragrance to clothing and hair, but it's not like the parfum.

Try the Philospohy website for AG EDP.  They offer nice incentives to regular customers, too, though QVC has the best package deals.👛

@Sweetbay magnolia- I just realized I was actually referring to the Fine Parfum and not the EDP.  I don't see the Fine Parfum here on the Q site anymore.  Have you used the FP before?
