I have purchased a lot more from Ulta this year vs Sephora because they have drugstore and high end brands and their points program is a lot better.
I checked “My Rewards” after signing into my account and I had an offer for 200 bonus points with any NYX cosmetics purchase of $25 or more. There were a couple things I wanted to try so I ordered their new Micellar Water, their new Worth the Hype mascara, the glitter glue and a lip pencil and received my bonus points. They also have a general offer of a free full size eyeshadow palette with any NYX $15 or more order, so I got that also.
I am happy to get all those items for $27.00 plus shipping. 200 points is equal to $6 and the points don’t expire so I am saving them for something more expensive that I’ll want.
Do any of you gals find yourself shopping at Ulta more than Sephora or other places? What are your thoughts on their rewards program?

There are more Ultas in my area than Sephora’s & since they carry certain drugstore brands like L’Oreal & NYX, it’s more of an incentive to shop there over Sephora.
I am Platinum so the reward points never expire. I do like that you can apply reward points to ANYTHING in the store to purchase unlike Sephora where your reward points go towards travel sized samples at the registers. And you are fortunate if you see a travel sized something you could actually use.

Yes, I just recently made platinum and ITA with you @JustJazzmom about the reward items offered by Sephora.

There are no Ulta stores in Canada and I know that they ship to Canada but I am not about to purchase from them online and pay U.S. prices and shipping, duty, and taxes. The nearest Ulta to Vancouver is at Bellis Fair mall in Bellingham, Washington. That's way over an hour drive from where I live.
I had planned to visit Ulta when I was in Las Vegas but I lost interest in going there. I visited a lot of drugstores and beauty stores on the strip this visit but didn't buy any color cosmetics nor any makeup brushes this time. I bought drugstore makeup line a retractable charcoal liner pencil made by Neutrogena and some brown hide your gray pressed powder from either Walgreens or CVS pharmacy.
I also bought my daughter a Tarte Maracuja concealer in the light shade that was finally back in stock at Sephora when I was in Las Vegas. There's at least 4 Sephora stores on the strip so it's easy to visit them while Ulta is a car ride or an Uber ride away. I was not in the mood to go out of my way to visit an Ulta store. I had planned to buy the EmilyNoel Needs palette by Makeup Revolution but changed my mind after seeing how patchy the blush was in some various youtube videos. When I visited the Las Vegas Ulta last year I wasn't impressed by their prices for drugstore makeup.

I've shopped more at Ulta this year than in the past and just made Plantinum level. I look forward to the holidays because they run crazy sales and have great sets.

I use Ulta all the time. One of the reasons is that they are easier to get to than a Sephora. Ulta is in a strip mall so I can park out front and just run in. Sephora is in a mall that I have to park far away and walk all through the mall.
I also use their web page a lot. I first log into Ebates and then go to the Ulta web page. I get Ebates points plus Ulta points. And, if your order is over $50 shipping is free.

Due to location, offering drugstore and prestige products and their great rewards program, I have made more purchases from Ulta; however, Sephora does carry products and brands not available at Ulta. Wondering if any of you have experienced a problem that has been ongoing since May with Ulta. Typically, I would receive almost daily sale and promotional emails from them, but it has been complete silence since May. I have contacted them multiple times thru phone calls and emails with no resolution. I do receive order confirmation and shipping emails, but no sale / promotional notifications. I am beyond frustrated because I am missing my notifications of benefits for being platinum status, which I have been for many years. If anyone else has experienced this, how did your issue get resolved?

With their recent 20% off sale and with my rewards, I purchased $300 worth of merchandise for $0.76! I almost fainted when she gave me my total. I try to purchase when they do 5x points. I am a Diamond member (which I just achieved this year) so my points don't expire.

I ran into this problem with Lancôme website. E mails stopped & monthly calls didn't help. Finally in frustration, I signed up for e mails on their website. About a few weeks later, I started receiving e mails again.
If there is is an option at Ulta, trying signing up for e mails. Perhaps your name got dropped off during an update.
