I got a coupon from Ulta for a free birthday gift, it's a NYX palette. You can only use the coupon in store, this will be the first time I'll be able to use it as I have an Ulta near me. I'm wondering if it's worth my trip there? You have to ask for it at the register, I'm assuming it isn't a full size palette. I'm also guessing you should buy something  to get it. Did anyone get this palette?

If there's an Ulta near you, by all means go there and redeem your gift.  You don't have to buy anything else, but you probably will if you roam around the store.  That's the point of getting you to come in.  Go get your gift.  Free is good.  Enjoy.

Hello, yeas I got it since my birthday is in July, it looks cheap to me, the case and the colors look unwearable. I havne't used it yet, I usually get the birthday gift and its is usually good, I like the mothers day and fathers day gifts best.

Does it say on the coupon that to get the palette you need to make a store purchase? There are youtube videos showing it swatched.

My birthday is in July, also.  I'm definitely going to pick it up.  I saw it on Makeup Alley and it looks really good.  I don't think you have to buy anything else in the store to get it.

I've seen people at Sephora go in just to get their birthday gift without buying anything.   The reps seem okay with it.  If anything, you could just buy something inexpensive, since Ulta carries a variety of things.

When it was my birthday, I walked into Sephora for my birthday gift and then into Ulta for the same thing, both on the same day. I didn't make a purchase at either place. It felt like I was trick or treating! 😁

I don't know if you've seen them, but there are Youtube videos, which show people going to all the various stores and restaurants to redeem their birthday gift offers.  Some people end up with quite the haul!
