Tweek-d Shampoo Users, Need Your Help!!!

I just tried this and followed directions but have no idea how much to actually use. It says to use various #s of pumps but how much product is in a pump? It just kept pouring out. Do you use a small amount per pump or more? Can you give me a size example, like the amount of a cotton ball or larger? I think I used too much but am not sure. TIA

I use about the size that fills the palm of my hand. My hair is short but it is thick and this seems to work for me. Hope this was of help.

I have long hair, to my tailbone, and I use probably about half of what Tricolor uses. I've use the ultra nourishing one though, never tried the volume one. I feel like this amount coats my hair enough. It does take some experimenting to see what amount works best for you but once you figure out the amount for your hair, I think you will like it (well,if you are using the ultra nourishing since that is all I've tried). Are you applying some on dry hair and then showering, frothing it up with water then adding a bit more to cleanse it all out like the instructions recommend or are you doing it just in the shower on wet hair? I found that for me, I got the best results by applying some to dry hair, just at the ends, then jump in the shower, splash some water on it, add some to my scalp and the remainder of my hair and rinse out. Voila, beautiful hair! Smile

If it isn't sold out, HSN probably has a video. I just Tweak-d. My hair is thick and medium length. One pump usually fills the palm of my hand. I used 2, putting it on the ends of my hair. Left it on 10 minutes, then splashed enough water to run fingers through my hair. Next, I used 2 more pumps all over. Added enough water to run fingers through massaging scalp and hairline, then I washed it out. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I did apply to dry hair and then followed all the directions. Just confused about the actual amount of cream is in a pump. I think I may have used somewhat more than I needed but not totally out of control! My hair is dry now and feels soft and looks shiny but I don't notice any great change in volume. But I'll give it a few more tries and see how it goes.

YUP--- my mom has short hair (she is handicapped, so I wash it for her, and I like this because I only have to get her to the sink once) and I just put a palmful through her hair , massage through and rinse. For me, (with long hair) I use three palmfuls.

What exactly do you guys like about this? I'm out of 613 and have been refraining from ordering hoping for a special.

virgosun, I didn't find it gave me volume. In fact, I've read reviews where the other one (forgot what it's called) delivered volume.

I'm more interested in trying that shampoo you recommended (what was the name again?). I wouldn't buy a second Tweak'd based on my experience, and lack of va-voom!

BC, I've only tried the Volumizing one (which didn't volumize me!) and the ONLY thing I like about it is it cuts down on my time/steps in the shower. Since I put it on dry I can brush my teeth, get my coffee started, then jump in the shower and essentially just plop on some more and rinse it out. I usually do the shampoo/rinse, conditioner/rinse so the Tweak'd is much quicker. The reason I never tried Wen is because it sounded like it took forever and that you had to use a zillion pumps. Not that I ever have to rush out anywhere, I'm just not willing to put in the extra effort since I don't love my hair anymore.

One thing I really DIDN'T like is that it made my shower floor really slick and slippery.

I have only tried/used the ultra nourishing. It gives me the moisture my hair needs, makes it look more shiny and full and really helps detangle my hair. It would be what I use if I can no longer get WEN Summer honey peach.
