When I work in my yard I always wear a hat and because of the heat, and the hat, the top of my hair is flat and dirty even if I had just washed it. I'm excited to give it a try, it sound perfect for my needs.

First ingredient in this is alcohol, is that of any concern, sounds like hairspray, and will it be drying to  hair and the scalp?

Alcohol woudn't automatically make it like a hairspray.  The alcohol is more than likely a delivery method for other ingredients and then evaporates leaving the other ingredients behind.   That is the one ingredient forbidden by the Curly Girl Method that I can't follow as I have to have hairspray to keep hair out of my face and you can't find hairspray without alcohol, but it's not the alcohol that makes it hairspray.  

Not particularly interested in this product though.
