Trouble with new eyeliners 5 pm?

I got some of the new long wear BE eyeliners, 5 pm and 10 pm. I loved them at first but now they are so hard and dried out! Has anyone experienced this? I am really disappointed in this Product. Even after sharpening, it still is hard and not smooth like it was originally. Any advice?
