Re: Tria - Week 7 (weird stuff!)

Maren, I did start on Level 3 the second day and it was hot. But I really don't think it was as hot as my replacement is now. That is why I think I will add the extra week. I really don't want to. And also with this new one, I am showing more redness around the smile lines and that didn't happen before.

Snowball - if this your first or second replacement? I know you had some problems getting a properly functioning unit. I do think you should consider taking the added time so you get the full benefits. I think I would if in your position. If you've come this far, why cut the maximum results from the total accumulated time, if that makes sense.

What I'm attempting to say, maybe poorly, is since the manner in which this technology works requires a certain amount of time, accumulated all at one time for a complete protocol, why cut yourself off with just an added week or two required. Otherwise, you might always wonder "what if" and that might drive you crazy. Does that makes sense, even a little??{#emotions_dlg.confused1}

wackers, this was my first replacement!! I am thinking of adding the extra week, but I just don't know if I should add more! I really don't remember when my first one stopped getting hot. All I know is that this new replacement works great, so much better. So my problem is how many weeks should I add on?

Re: Tria - Week 7 (weird stuff!)

Maren, I opened a hot oven tonight after using my Tria and I thought of you Smiley Wink. I haven't had what you described, but a few oddities of my own. Nothing I am concerned about, more just annoying. I have 6 days left and haven't missed a day, so I am headed like a racehorse to the finish line and looking forward to no more sandpaper skin. Just received the Perricone Nuerotpeptide TSV, so will try that tonight. We're almost there.

Re: Tria - Week 7 (weird stuff!)

Hi! I have all kinds of discolorations from my face and still have the sandpapery type skin. Thank heavens for the Bare Minerals Foundation Serum they came out with this year. That stuff has been perfect for my skin. I'm curious to see if I can still use the stuff after I am done with the laser treatment. I'm on Week 7 now and have been on Level 3 for a few weeks now. You guys were right about level 3 not being that bad. It's tolerable.

When it comes to discolorations I have sunburnish type marks on the sides of my face by my eyes where I'm hoping I can get some crowsfeet relief. I also have a streak of red (vertical) on my forehead in between my brows. I have various patches of colored skin by my mouth and cheek area. It doesn't look as bad as it sounds but there is no way I would go somewhere's without that foundation. That serum really even things out.

I'm looking forward to the treatment being over to see what the results are. I'm really hoping I will see some nice looking skin and some assistance in expression lines around my eyes. I laugh and smile all the time so they are there. They almost looked engraved. I also am looking forward to being able to use a more serious exfoliator treatment like the dermapeel or the PMD. It feels really weird to not be doing any of those treatments but I am thinking it's not a good combo with the laser so would rather see what the results are. 1 week to go! I've really appreciated reading everyone's experiences.

Haha! Quite an eye opener, isn't it? It's so hard to believe it's almost over, don't you think? When we started, 8 weeks seemed like an eternity stretching ahead of us. Very excited to see what our rest period brings!

What is with these vertical lines? Makes you wonder what was under our skin. ;-)

Glad that BE Serum Foundation is working for you. I'm able to use all the foundations I got that were too dark for me, now that I'm bronzed. Don't think my regular Fair shades would work. I hope the BE continues to work for you, too!

Before I began, my eye smile lines were under control to the point where if I wasn't smiling they almost disappeared (at least at the beginning of the day -- at the end with makeup, etc., they were more noticeable). Now they're apparent whether I'm smiling or not (like yours -- engraved) and I THINK that's because of what I perceive to be the overall dehydration. I'm hoping that once our skins get back to optimal moisture levels, they'll lessen considerably.

I'd agree with you on holding off on the PMD, although I've used my Dermappeal VERY lightly, but my face is pretty tender so have tried to be gentle. I think the PMD will be great!

Keep us updated -- I just love hearing everyone's experiences as everyone is different. :-)

Re: Tria - Week 7 (weird stuff!)

I am SO thankful for the Tria threads because I was curious about this item and wondered if I should take the plunge.

No way. Hats off to you very brave women and I hope you wind up with the most amazing skin there is but... I'm not willing to go through everything you all have. Kudos!!!! : )
