Thanks for the helpful and encouraging information, wackers. Less than 2 weeks to go till I stop the treatment. Now I'm starting to worry because my skin doesn't look terrible...how crazy is that!

Don't fret -- if we do a Round 2, we can probably expect to experience the same reactions.

ETA: My skin doesn't look terrible, but it's definitely still got some rough spots and looks seriously dehydrated, so I know SOMETHING is still happening. :-)

Howdy everyone...... just received my Tria from the TSV. Yes it was really a long wait for me. But that's ok since I am such a procrastinator! I would like to put in a request to start a week 6 thread. I'm still plugging through all the previous weeks. It does make it easier to read. What day of the week did y'all start on? I will begin on that day too. Thanks bunches for all y'alls are work here, helps us newbies out.

Hi, txdawl! Boy, that WAS a long wait -- were you on advance order?

I think shannara was starting the threads on Mondays, but we all started using them whenever we received them. Most people got theirs a day or two before I got mine, and a couple were already a few weeks in having gotten theirs elsewhere before the Q presented it. So it doesn't really matter what day you begin, just whenever you're ready.

Since we're pretty much half way into the Week 6 experience (thread-wise, anyway), and at this point it's becoming pretty non-eventful (except for wonky units), there probably won't be much breaking news between now and the end of the 8 week protocol (same thing for those on the 12 week program, probably), shannara wondered if maybe we didn't really need a new until the end of the active stage, at which time we could compare the results we were -- or weren't seeing. She asked for input but not too many people responded, so apparently there wasn't a strong interest to keep it going weekly.

Anyone is free to begin a new thread if they're so inclined, but as it looks now, there's no really need to at this point in the process. You'll see that when you get to this point. :-)

Please let us know how it's going for you. When do you think you'll start??

Hi txdawl, Good luck with starting your Tria. I am on week 7 now and I started on a Monday. I am doing the 8 week protocol but adding another week because my Tria wasn't giving off much heat! This new one doesn't seem as hot either, but maybe I am just used to it. It was HOT when I first received the new replacement, but now it seems not as much and I don't seem to be getting as red. I don't know!!!!! It could just be me!!!! Let us know when you start and what is happening.

Hey snowball! I just pushed my new one back up to level 3, after doing level 2 for a couple of nights. It doesn't feel anywhere near the way it did on night 1 on level 3, and I wasn't anywhere near as red or sore when I finished it. But my face has just a little bit of roughness, so I think it's doing something. I HOPE it's doing something!

I'm not sure if my I adjusted quickly, or these units are really hot first time out, and then are broken in???? If that was the case, though, they should break them in before they send them out!

itsMe, so you are experiencing the same thing as me!!!!! What's going on!!! I am not red like I was the first week with my new replacement. I think I will call customer service and ask them if this is the norm, getting used to it and not feeling the heat as much. I don't believe that something could be wrong with this new replacement!!!!!! I have a little roughness around my smile lines only. I will call them and see what they say.

I don't think it matters what day of the week you begin week 6 on as the replies were really posting all week long. Just go ahead and post "Tria Week 6" and it will most likely replace this one from that point on. It does get time consuming to scroll through all the pages as the amount of posts exceed 50 - 60 and more so, I think you might get a little more involvement starting a Week 6.

While it would seem unlikely that you could be unlucky enough to receive two defective units, it's really not impossible. Tria doesn't test individual units before shipping them out so the chances are pretty much equal that your 2nd unit could also not be maintaining the proper heat levels. If it isn't, you are not going to get maximum results which is unacceptable.

I'd recommend starting a new thread regarding your concerns because your best sources are going to be those who have been using their units for close to 7 or 8 weeks now. Most will have been on level 3 for weeks now. If the majority state they felt the same level of heat consistently and also had very similar skin reactions (redness and being sore) then it gives you more credibility and ammunition when you contact Tria. You deserve to have a fully functioning laser so that you can expect the maximum results that others will be getting.

Thanks everyone. I will begin on Monday. I will be doing the 12 wk protocol. Mon - Fri I seem to be reading that any down time results are showing. I think that maybe this 2 day weekly down time might hasten results??? Wishful thinking or Positive thinking, lol.

I did have professional laser treatment on my face and chest about 10 yrs ago and was very disappointed. It was through my derm and with a Harmony Angel machine ( I think). It was for 5 treatments with a week off between them. All I remember was that it HURT like HECK !!! That rubber band popping was HORRIBLE.... so she never got to "full strength" with me. She kept saying how great things were going as she checked differences with a 100x mag mirror... LOL !!!! Obviously since neither I nor my family/friends carry a 100x mag mirror with us.... we saw NO difference.

Does this little machine hurt? I am a sissy when it comes to pain. Btw, I am a dishwater blonde (thats lightened), with med skin tone, and 56 yrs old.
