And another thing, I am not seeing any results yet, so I am still not sure if I will send it back. They give us the 90 day return policy for that reason. So, whoever decides to send it back I won't criticize at all. Never thought of it as getting free laser treatments.
I read somewhere (duh, probably here!) that a CS rep said to keep it in the charger whenever not in use, so that's just what I do. It was the same thing with NuFace -- that was their recommendation as well.
But then you have others who advise just the opposite -- like my Foreo Luna. Man, that battery life is unbelievable! I got it about the 3rd week in January, it charged in like an hour, and I haven't had to re-charge it since. I use it longer than the recommended 2 minutes a day, too. I don't even know where the charger cord is! I admit, that is an exception. My Clarisonic seemed to go a good while without a charge, too (but nothing like the Foreo --I've never seen anything like that!).
But I wonder if it's the type of batteries, if it's the amount of power each session drains, or some other factor that makes it preferable for some devices to be continually charging.

Week 5 for me. I do mostly level 3, 5 days on and 2 days off. I don't think I could handle 7 days without a break. I have some sand paper, even though I use Tatcha enzyme powder in the mornings and Exfolikate a couple times a week. But most evident is how plump my face has become. (I don't know how much I like the fat cheeks.) But I guess that is what collagen does. It is filling out some of the lines. I did Lightstim religously for the past year, so I feel like I had a good start on collagen. My lip area is plumper also. The only thing it doesn't seem to be helping is my chin. Maybe I just can't see it. I had a long way to go in that area.

Sounds good to me, gtx. My cheeks are sinking so I'd love some plump baby cheeks. Not seeing them yet, but your post gives me hope. Happy to know you're getting some results.

Also in week 5, haven't missed a day yet, which in and of itself is quite an achievement for me. The one beauty tool that isn't gathering dust on my vanity.
I have a few things I *think* I am noticing, like maybe a lessening of lines on the forehead and a little less of the drooping line that goes down on both sides of my mouth. I did an up close inspection in a magnifying mirror last night, and I see one thing for sure. In the last year or so, my skin seems to have gotten thinner, for lack of a better description. Papery thin and translucent, and slower to heal. I noticed last night that this has improved. It's got more bounce, more push back, more cushion. Not tons, but for sure some.
The sandpaper dryness comes and goes.
Lyn, in case you are still keeping track, my # starts with 015 and it came with the bendy white plug and no CD. Tria has since sent me a new black charger, but I left it plugged into my computer for now.
Question - do you ladies think that they sold the glitchy stock to us, and now when QVC sends out these devices they are a better (as in not glitchy) model? And by glitchy, I mean charger issues, overheating issues, not holding a charge very long issues, chargers catching fire issues, everything that has been mentioned here. If so, couldn't those who have the Tria and want to keep it, but aren't feeling confident in their units, still send it back to QVC for an exchange? Just a thought.

Someone mentioned that Q often buys up the old stock for a good price and hawks it as the latest and greatest. iPads and other technology products were cited. I don't think the Q is the only one that does this. I bought a Blendtec from HSN, THEN went to the Blendtec site. At least mine is still being sold - not discontinued!
I've seen better skin -- I think that's it so far -- but for some reason I'm very happy! I Googled "Tria Skin Rejuvenating Laser" and found a couple of pics taken at 8 weeks that were pretty impressive.
** If anybody knows how to post a pic here using an iPad, let me know!**

My original was white folding and the replacement was black. On 5/2/2014 lyn in MI said: A huge thank you to all of you who shared the SN info I requested. I wonder what their method is for assigning SNs and how they relate to production dates.Lyn- only because you asked. Mine is 018- it was an advanced order with white non-folding charger. I have had it a little over a week and have had no problems with it. I am sorry you are having issues with yours. I do feel so many people are just planning to use this device for the 3 month cycle and then just return it - like okay I will get free laser treatments. I could never do anything like that but that seems to be how so many people think around here. Kind of like going to the derm and asking for one's money back. Just wow to the stuff I read here.
I plan to keep mine and once I have completed my face treatment, I may decide to do a second round after a 6 - 8 week break, or I will wait and try the 12 week protocol on my hands once summer ends.
Yes but it is still basically a generic charger. I am only aware of this because I own two other Tria devices and both of those chargers do have the Tria brand name on them -this does not.

On 5/1/2014 lyn in MI said: Question for fellow Tria users. Is it possible to share the first 3 digits of your serial number with me?Lyn I bought mine from sephora during their sale. My numbers are 510, I had no CD and I had the white folding charger. When I changed mine it took less than ten mins. When I called CS to activate, it was already activated!! That has not sat well with me that it was basically fully charged and already activated. They sent me a charger without even asking for one. I'm still using the original. I haven't had much issue. A couple times it will blink for quite awhile but then it stops. The blue battery light stays on while using, a solid light. Is that normal.? I've never tried to see how long a charge lasts but I do know I have gotten two treatments with out charging between. I think these have some serious issues. What problems are u experiencing?

I'm slogging along with my regimen. I missed my first night last night. The only changes I see right now are negative - sandpapery skin that the exfoliating just can't seem to fully remove, new upper lip line wrinkles, new corner-of-the-mouth wrinkle, and a complete marionette line on my right side where I had only a partial one before. I'm not sure what I'm accomplishing here, but I intend to stick it out until the end and I really hope I look like a blushing bride at the end of the four week rest period!
