I watched or listened to the entire presentation. I was moving around toward the end of it, so I may have missed a few words here or there.
I felt it was lacking for having a whole hour. I don't think enough explanation was given as to the science behind it.
Nor did I feel it really addressed its true uses. If you do a google search, you can see photos of fractional laser done by doctors. I wouldn't say this is an exact replica of what they can do. It can be really helpful for acne scarring. They just kept saying uneven skin. I don't know that this device is that powerful. They said 12 weeks of use was equivalent to 2 physician treatments.
Why only show 4 week before & after? Why not do 4, 8, 12 weeks?
I did not hear a description of what (if anything) it felt like to do it. Believe me, the laser hair removal treatment can really hurt sometimes! She said do it at night as your skin may become red. I would want to know what it feels like.
Just sounding excited didn't persuade me! I don't think I would really be helped much by it. They need to up their game on this one.

The only beauty-related machine I continue to use is my Clarisonic. It works! I know QVC needs to sell product, but nearly $500 (with shipping and tax) for a machine most people will stop using within months, or at most a year, is an obscenity in my opinion. Some might say I am judging too harshly, without using the product, but this is simply the flavor of the day ... Spend the money on something else! And don't look at the photoshopped model in the promo picture who is much younger than most of us are.

I'm there with you, Hyacinth.
I wasn't very impressed and don't think it would address my needs. Sounds like light chemical peels would do the same thing the Tria promises without the time commitment.
I'm passing on this TSV.

I think a fractional laser is quite impressive.
I don't think I would benefit much from it, as I don't have fine lines. I am going to spend the money on Botox for my hated 11's!
I think they were being super cautious on this one. They need to talk more science and show more photos.
Oh, the model is in her 20's, and that is ridiculous. Unless she had bad acne scarring, it wouldn't do anything.
Something is missing on their presentation.

Hi hyacinth003 - looks like it heats the dermis (which is the deepest lower level of the skin). So you just feel heat -
I did a YouTube search of this to see demo's w w w . youtube.com/watch?v=G4rQi2R-aTc
This gal brings you thru 8 weeks - from 1st time use to 12 weeks -
The Palovia works like the Professional Fractional Laser at the Dr office NOT as strong or deep of course - but makes the stamp blocks and the tiny holes
I'm not sure why the gal presenting the Tria device is saying it is like Fractional Laser ...???
I also think they should have 8 & 12 week before & after pictures AND it would help too, to have maybe 6 months out.......

Mary Beth just said that it hurts a lot. I agree though, I wish they would do a little better job of explaining WHY it works (we gals can handle a little science!). I have to say though, I find the Tria rep very pleasant and not annoying.

Gad she was honest about it! I was glad to hear her say that.

I totally agree! It's not that great a deal for the item itself retail value plus shipping and tax. Would much rather lower price and no extras.
