Can anyone explain how this could be safe without eyewear?  I would buy the Tria but I am so worried that it could damage the eyes.  I know when the doctor does a laser you wear protection over the eyes.  I'm not understanding how you don't need this with this product.

The device stays on only when it comes in contact with your skin.  Otherwise, it turns off when you lift it away.

Thanks for the answer...but thinking about a laser in the doctor's office, I think it also doesn't emit any light until it's against the skin and they push whatever button.  I know they can stop while using the laser and the machine is still running but that eyewear is required the entire time.  Maybe it's the machine still running that is the difference?

Maybe the strength of the doctor's office laser is much stronger and they are covering themselves against lawsuits???
