Thanks for posting your experiences. It will help when mine does finally arrive.
I've worked myself into such a lather over this, I'd be X-ing off the days on my calendar -- like a kid waiting for Christmas. I've no doubt you're more patient (and less immature) than I.
My blood pressure spikes every time I look at the tracking status. No update since the 28th, the day it was shipped. I know that often it will be "stuck" on that up until the day it's delivered, but it's still aggravating.
I need to Get. A. Life. :-)
We'll both have them in our hot little hands before tooooo long, itsMe, and hopefully we'll feel it's been worth the wait.
Don't let it get to you! LOL. I sent a return back on the 24th..... fortunately I handed it to the mailman and he scanned it on the spot. It is eight days later, and it hasn't gone anywhere yet. Seems to still be sitting at my post office waiting for the QVC transport partner to pick it up. What they sent me was defective (a bad stone in an earring), and I want to get the replacement! I figure that will be another 2 weeks at this rate. Even though I'm anxious about it, I'm more concerned with a sellout or another defective item than I am with when it gets to me.

OR, it's been picked up and is happily winging its way back and just wasn't scanned. That seems to happen a LOT. Nothing for days then poof! It's arrived. I wonder why that is, and it seems to be the case with UPS and USPS. I hope you get your earrings! Are you brave enough to check if it's sold out

I think the nuface is a facial toning device? If so, its fine to use in conjunction, per the people on that thread. And some of those people have EVERY DEVICE you can imagine. I have a Nutritone which I LOVE and will continue to use every other day like I normally do in the morning(using it right now as i'm typing this!)
Have either of you that have started already, used the Palovia? If so, how does the pain compare? Thanks. Can't wait to follow everyone's progress.
Where do you live, 5pugmom? I'm champing at the bit for some word/update on mine
As you probably remember reading on EDS, it doesn't take very long to charge (compared to the 12 or 24 hours some devices require).
I still haven't finished the EDS tome. I bet there are more threads on it, too -- but that one pretty much covers everything, don't you think?</>
Photoqueen said both the Tria and ReAura (not available in the U.s.) are "brilliant" - didn't care all that much for the Palovia. The ReAura is supposed to be much stronger (and about twice as much $$$) but Photoqueen said he finds the Tria is the one he reaches for. I think the ease of use is a BIG thing, and NO GEL. I can identify with the no gel preference, I HATED that with my NuFace.
There are a few here (snowball, for one) who has the Palovia, so it will be interesting to learn how they compare.
I live in California...about a mile from Tria Headquarters. I thought maybe it shippped from there, but my tracking shows a stop in St Petersburg, PA.
I will say, that reading the rest of EDS yesterday was really informative. By the time I had gotten the whole thread, some of the ladies had been through 3 or 4 rounds with it. And just like my results with the PV, their change came during the off time when it was healing. I still think it's odd that for every other country but the US, the cycle is daily for 8 weeks. but the US, it's 5 days a week for 12 weeks.
I read lots of tips for the dryness (if possible, I am going straight to level 3. Go big or go home) And I read a few ladies say using facial steamers or the steam of the shower and light use of a wash cloth to scrub, really helps to remove the dryness. Ironically, I just decided a few weeks ago to start giving myself weekly facials, and just got a face steamer from Amazon. So I am going to try it. I am going out today to get some heavier day moisturizer. I definitley got the sandpaper feel around my eyes with the PV. So I am sure it will happen with this.

Go big or go home! Right on!
Years ago I used to steam and used an herbal laxative called SwissKriss. I had a friend over and we gave ourselves facials --- boiling water, dumping in SK, leaning over pot with a towel over our heads for about 10 minutes. I said "this will really make you sweat out some gunk." She said, sounding like a Steel Magnolia, "oh, I don't perspire." A couple of minutes later I hear, from under her towel "Gawd - I'm sweating like a pig!"
In the morning I was awakened hearing her holler from the other room "My skin feels AMAZING!". Steaming is a good thing. :-) I should re-incorporate that into my arsenal.
It usually takes a couple more days for stuff to arrive up here than in CA, so I think I'm in for a little wait -- so excited for you, though!
A couple of items I'm planning on picking up -- that Avene Thermal Spring Water spray to cool down the heat, and Cure Natural Aqua Gel for exfoliating. The steaming and even the wash cloth make sense, too.
I wonder which protocol is BETTER. I'm planning on doing the 8/4 Rest Of The World Regimen (unless my face is screaming for a respite after 5 days). I have very little faith in the FDA with its bureaucracy and always lagging far behind. Still waiting for a sun protection rating that actually acknowledges UVA. Sheesh! What year is this????
I think I'm going to make a nice coffee and hunker down to finish my education on EDS. :-)

I too am thinking of using the 8 week on 4 off. I guess I should be looking into the Avene and the Cure Gel. That Cure gel comes from Japan doesn't it? So it will take some time to get here. My redness went away really quick so do you think I still need to get these things?
The Palovia stung for me because I used it on the highest setting. I too was dry around the eyes and felt sandpapery. I think the both items are similar in the pain department. I don't mind the stinging so I think I will use level 3 tonight and see. But I will say, when I was doing level 2 last night, I kept thinking when is it going to beep to go on to the next zone??

More than a few said the gel that comes with the Tria REALLY helps. Initially they were using it sparingly because of the $$$, but when they added more it helped more. I'm not sure if they were talking about redness or the my face is on fire feeling -- since 5pug mom read it more recently than I, maybe she knows the answer.
THEN, after their intro sizes were used up (or for those who just didn't like the Tria products) they tried other products and the Avene and Cure are what stuck in my mind. (Interestingly on person mentioned a similar product to Cure from NCN, but when I went to look, Nanci no longer is offering it).
I think you can get both the Avene and Cure on drugstore.com or amazon, maybe eBay.
I seem to recall that degree of redness/dryness changes, so we probably just have to wing it. I think we'll be able to feel what we need and when, don't you?
But I will say, when I was doing level 2 last night, I kept thinking when is it going to beep to go on to the next zone??
Haha! I bet! And from what I've read, Level 3 can seem like an eternity!!
‎04-01-2014 02:09 PM
Yeah, that is what I am thinking. Level 3 is 2.5 minutes for each section. YIKES!!!!! LOL

Snowball, I went to amazon for my Cure and ordered it from a store in Las Vegas, got it in 2 or 3 days all nicely sealed up.

If you've tried it, what do you think?
Did you live in Portland and LA and is your name Lesley? :-)

Here's a post and chart that Philip made about "layering" device treatments: (you'll have to cut and paste![]()

According to the chart, NuFace with the Tria is fine.
