Re: Tretinoin Advice

[ Edited ]

I have a script for 0.05%.  I also cannot use on my neck.  Depending on time of year, will use on its own or sandwich (usually in winter).   I look at tretinoin as an investment in my skin. Not just today but in the years ahead.  No matter what comes and goes in my regime, this will remain.

@tansy

Here's a very helpful video from HotandFlashy about how to use tret for beginners. It helped me when I started using it years ago. I hope you find it useful (I just sort of ignored her skincare product recs) but the rest of the vid is good.

Hi, @SilleeMee.  I appreciate the recommendation and will watch the video for sure.  I am not usually shy at a doc visit but I was thrown off by four of us ijammed into a very small exam room -- me, the doc, a scribe and an intern 🥹 And I'm in one of those silly gowns.

@Sooner

I buy, online, from Tara Skincare.

No presciption needed.  $25-$30.

My last tube was $25 and large at 20 g.

Look for a 15% discount code.

I buy 6 tubes (20g each) for less than $50 at AllDayChemist. Shipping is high but that's still a great price for 6 tubes.

@Sooner

You do not need a Rx for tret to buy it from ADC.

I have used Tretinoin for about 25 years with no problems at all. However, I cannot use it on my neck and dec. I don't have sensitive skin but no matter how I try it I can't use it.

I wouldn't be able to go through that many tubes before they expire.  I use two tubes each year.   My current tub expires in May 2025.

@Shaunac

How many grams are in your tubes?
