To Gel or Not

I had my first gel manicure this summer. My nails are pretty strong anyway, and it lasted about 3 weeks. It was great not to have to take the polish with me on vacation and not worry about chipping at the beach or hiking or anything else. When we got back home and I wanted to change to regular (my DD said I'd have to have it removed professionally), the nail salon was kind of shocked I didn't want to get another one. (I do my nails myself, but I do treat myself to pedicures). Then they took it off. I thought they were going to get out the chainsaw at one point!

So - maybe next year when it's summer vacation again! I like to play with my OPI and Essie colors too much, and I change my color at least once a week, even if my nails haven't chipped. Smile
