To BE or not to BE

It has been a long time since I've been on this board. I used BE foundation for over 10 years and loved it. Shortly after turning 40 my face started changing, larger pores and thinner skin. The foundation looked too cakey and too luminous. So I started trying out liquid. WELL.... ever since I started getting black heads and white little bumps below my cheeks. I'm thinking my skin is not liking liquid foundation. I pulled out my BE and trying it out to see if I stop getting the clogged pores and bumps. But as before, I am not liking the luminosity. I have not tried the matte foundation. Anyone with 40+, oily, break out prone skin use the matte foundation and love it?
