Re: Tips For Using Self Tanner

my question is when to use your body lotion or moisturizer. I've been using the PC 10% AHA body lotion, wonderful by the way, but I don't know how long I should wait before using the self tanner?

Thanks everyone! I ended up ordering the Tarte self-tanner from Sephora. I'm also getting a free sample of Vita Liberata self tanner. I debated between Tarte and Tan Towels. Don't know why I went with Tarte. I ordered the Salux cloths for exfoliation from salux.com. Thank you very much for the hints and suggestions. I'm hoping to have better luck this time.

I would like to try the Vita Liberata too. Everyone is speaking so highly of it. Is the free samples coming from Sephora with your order?

Yes, the Vita Liberata is one of the free samples Sephora is offering right now.

Re: Tips For Using Self Tanner

I'm going to try the paint brush idea on my ankles and feet, that's where I always mess up; thanks for the great tip!

Here are some favorites for anyone looking for reviews. In the end, I think it comes down to body chemistry and personal preference. Jergens I use this daily and year round; it works, I don't get a dark tan, but it works well enough to use through winter and not be stark white, plus it is not expensive, though I do go through it quickly since I use it every day. In the summer I bump it up and go with the St Tropez mousse (I like the dark); I like this tanner, it's quick to apply, but it's very sticky so when it's gone I might not buy more because of a new find at Ulta called ZEN TAN weekly tanner. It's awesome; it's in a pump and looks just like Bare Minerals self tan. The best part of this is how long this tan lasts, and the price comparable to Bare Minerals. I liked the Bare Minerals color, but it didn't last on me at all, just two days max. Tan Towels were easy to use and I never noticed a smell but I didn't get enough color for my preference. I really dislike the feel of the St Tropez mousse; it's very sticky and to avoid getting it on your clothes, you really need to wash the film off before putting on your good clothes unless wearing black. I've noticed it has stained some of my lighter clothing. It is easy to apply to the back because of the mitt. I use a hairbrush in the mitt to do my back. Not the best, but until I find a better way. . . I love this Zen Tan and will probably stick with it. Had I not discovered this in Ulta, I would definitely try the Vita Liberata because it sounds great. I'm happy with Zen Tan as it last me a good week. I was on the search when I found it because after two years with St Tropez and it only lasting slightly longer (as in one or days longer) than Bare Minerals, I couldn't continue using this line.
