Hello - I have seen a lot of posts about thinning hair. Today I was in the grocery checkout line and saw that magazine "First for Women." I have read a lot about the causes of hair loss and this article does a nice job of summarizing the causes/solutions in layman's terms. The causes described are: 1) Chronic scalp inflammation 2)Low zinc 3) Low Vitamin D 4)Low iron 4) High androgen 5) Low estrogen 6) inherited thinning and 7) Miscellaneous - medication reaction, sudden stress, starvation diet, major surgery, and pregnancy.
There is side bar info on supplements, Hairmax, Toppik, wigs, haircuts, and scalp soothing products.
I thought it contained a lot of really helpful information in one place - it combined medical info and practical solutions.
It's the Feb 17 issue with Jane Seymour on the cover.

Thank you. That's something I'm definitely interested in. Will look for it tomorrow at the grocery.

I just have been seeing so many posts on these Q forums about hair loss and I've experienced it myself - so I hope it could help someone find a solution.

Good point. I don't have it in front of me - it may have been mentioned. It does contain good info in it, though, and I liked the practical product suggestions...it is just one source, people should do research and always talk to their doctors and get more than one medical opinion if necessary.
