Ok ladies. I'm thinking ahead. Last year I realized I had some inventory of styling products to last me the year so I went with a gallon rather than any TSV. It killed me every time there was a great TSV but I stood firm.
So I'm already trying to plan out whether to get the gallons again this year or get some TSV. I've averaged the price for the last 2 TSVs that I would get (I never get the Christmas one, just the ones with a 32oz and a 16oz plus extras) I have figured that per ounce it's cheaper to get the TSVs than to get the gallons.

Has anyone else done this math? Did you get the same conclusion?

If you use alot of the other products (besides the CC) that are usually a part of the TSVs then the TSVs are the better deal, imo. I don't use most of the other products so for me, the gallon is the better way to go.

I too have been wondering about this. CAN NOT resist those lovely kits, and use remoist and styling products.

Can't wait to hear what others think.

noonedelights, after going through these calculations a number of times, I finally just crunched all the numbers and put them together in a thread. Drythe, you had to know I was all over this. {#emotions_dlg.lol} Below you will find the information from post #2 of the Wen - Cleansing Conditioner Discovery Kits available at QVC thread. I've moved the information around a bit so that the information most relevant to your question is listed first.

If you are set on one specific formula, then the gallons may be the best bet. But if you can vary your CCs a bit, then the TSVs can offer a similar value while getting some additional products essentially thrown in for free. If you like the Seasonals, then the December TSV is the most cost effective option by far.

Additionally, if you scroll down farther, you'll find some Wen 16oz. CC sets -- which QVC regularly offers -- that are also good value for the money.

Price Calculations for Cost of Cleansing Conditioner Portion of TSVs

* assuming you were *just* buying the TSVs for the Cleansing Conditioner portion, below I've calculated the how 16 oz. & 32 oz. of CC *plus* S&H costs out in the various kits (and there is just a single S&H charge for each multi-piece TSV):

* Spring & Fall TSVs - $60 + $8.50 S&H - 48 oz. total CC - $22.83 / $45.66

* December TSV - $80 + $10 S&H - 80 oz. total CC - $18 / $36

* June Gallons - $177 + $8 S&H - 128 oz. total CC - $23.13 / $46.26

Regular price for bottles of Cleansing Conditioner + S&H - $35.22 / $56.72

* 16oz (A89153) - $29 + $6.22 S&H / 32oz (A238707) - $49.50 + $7.22 S&H

I think I am only going to get a single gallon of the CC I use the most (TT), so that I have room in the budget to try some of the kits.

I think the TSVs are always such an amazing deal. You basically pay for the 32 oz and practically get the other three items for free. And coincidentally or not the Fall TSV is usually the best. One year it even included a 4oz Re-moist and travel packs. I have gotten to try new things that I probably would never have ordered individually. And now the Re-moist is like my HG product so I would never want to be without. That being said it is always tempting for me to order a gallon of the TT- but I just feel I get to have more fun with the TSV.

I prefer to buy the TSV's since I use the ancillary products. Also, I rotate my formulas and it just makes more sense for me to have 32 ounces in many different formulas. Every time I think I'm going to get a gallon, I look at what I have on a/d and I prefer that than the gallons.

Both the TSVs and the gallons sound so appealing now!

You rock bebe777! Thanks.

Thinking of buying a gallon of TT as it is my go to first cleanse, with fig being second cleanse usually mixed with BBGT, or 613, or seasonal. But, it seems like it would be such a comfort to have a gallon of FIG, TT & BBGT on hand. Oh well...

May get a gallon of BBGT if offered 'cause my Labradors and I share it!

I know NOTHING will keep me away from the kits especially the ones with 613! I use the SC, the mousse, and the RTM.

Waiting for a gallon of 613 oil! {#emotions_dlg.wub}
