Texturizing Spray Recommendations

I am wondering if a texturizing spray might help my fine, flat hair.  I haven't had much luck with dry shampoo, which leave my hair dull and lifeless.

Does anyone have a good recommendation?  (I need something without a strong fragrance.  Strong scents give me a headache). I noticed Oribe Texturizing Spray has good reviews, but it is very pricey, and I don't know if it is really worth the $$$$

Re: Texturizing Spray Recommendations

I have same problem.   I use TRESemme One Step Texture spray on damp hair, particularly on roots.  Also, the best hairspray I've found is L'oreal Elnett Satin extra strong hold.  My hair won't stay in any style without it.   A second  gel I like is Paul Mitchel Extra Body Scupting Gel. Also applied all over damp hair.

Re: Texturizing Spray Recommendations

@Swedishmiss I also have fine hair that falls flat if I'm not careful.  I really like the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, but I only use it if I've put some waves into my hair.  I've never tried in when I'm wearing it straight.  It has a scent but it's the standard Oribe scent which is very nice and doesn't linger.  It's expensive, but it lasts a really long time.  They sell a travel size if you want to try it out.  The Oribe Superfine Hairspray is really nice too.  I am not a fan of hairspray at all, but if I do use one, this is the only one that I've ever liked.

My favorite combo for giving my hair body without stickiness after washing is to spray the Oribe Maximista Hair Thickening Spray on the top half of my hair and then applying a little GHD Body Goals Foam on just the root area.  I usually pump the foam onto a wide tooth comb and then comb it through the top of my hair.  I have tried more volumizing products than I can count and usually the ones that actually give my hair body also make it feel icky which I hate.

You can sometimes find some Oribe products on TJ Maxx or Marshalls web sites.  I've ordered from them before and they are legit products.  They also sell Oribe at Sephora so if you're an Insider, the sale is coming up later this month.

Re: Texturizing Spray Recommendations

I use products from R+CO and buy it from my salon.  Their volumizing line is called "Dallas"  I use the shampoo & texturing spray.  I also use the mousse.  It's called "Rodeo Star."  Excellent products.

Re: Texturizing Spray Recommendations

I've used the Oribe Maximista (volumizer) and the Oribe Texturizer. I have chin-length, slightly wavy hair, and I wouldn't say I like the Oribe at all. Oribe comes highly recommended, but the Calista product works better for me. The Oribe product(s) are drying and flattening, making my hair stick together like a deflated balloon.
