I recently tried " The Silk Canvas " primer by Tatcha. I love their products, so I was excited to try it. I can't speak for other skin types, but I don't recommend this for those with dry skin. I've tried it several times, with different moisturizers and each time. It felt dry and chalky, and my make-up did not go on smoothly. It might work for other skin types, but if you have dry skin, I would pass.

I don’t use the product line, but wanted to thank you for your honest review.

@QVCkitty1, when this first came to Sephora it sold out very quickly. I was dying to try it until I read that it is not for dry skin. When Vicky was on last week I watched the presentation. She was claiming that it is for all skin types. I do wished that these vendors would be more honest. Say it like it is. Of course they want to sell their product. Her silk moisturizer is also not for dry skin. When Tatcha first came to the Q this was the only moisturizer that was available from Tatcha. Again she claimed it's for all skin types. I have tried a few Tatcha items but I am losing faith in her word.

@Tricolor, well this is on me, I was so anxious to get it, I signed up to be emailed as soon as it came in and I didn't read the reviews. That is why .I reviewed it here, I have received good tips on this board, and I wanted to return the favor.

I have normal to dry skin that I usually use oils on (Tsubaki or Argan or Coconut). I was so excited to try the Tatcha Silk Canvas. My first impression is that I really liked it. It went on smooth & didn't cake on my skin. My problem is that today my eyes were burning shortly after I put on my makeup and left for work. I washed all of my makeup off with coconut oil and feel that the burning is subsiding. Could be seasonal allergies, but I think it's this product. Unfortunatly, I'm going to have to send this back. Really bummed. I so wanted to like it.

I bought this too and since I'm older not sure it is for me. Will try it a couple of more days. Bought at Sephora so won't have to pay to return it. I pulled out my Mally primer and I think I like it better. However, I wonder if newer Mally's primer are the same quality. I'm concerned about her products since she doesn't own the company any more.
